Julian entered the building and took the elevator, after reaching his floor he sat down and looked around at the others that were waiting.
"That is not my first interview, why am I even worried." Julian said with a concerned smile.
After a few minute he noticed it's his turn, he entered the office and sat down.
"So why do you want to work here?" The interviewer asked Julian calmly.
"Well, I need money and experience as I'm still a university student." He answered, a bit nervous.
"But it says in your file that you study pharmacy and not engineering?" The interviewer looked at him with suspicion.
"It's complicated, I was planning to study engineering but I didn't due to personal circumstances." Julian was getting more nervous as he answered.
"I see, we will call you." The interviewer said before standing up and opening the door for him.
Julian went outside of the office and walked away while calling his friend. "Hey Liam, I don't think I got accepted."
"Oh, I told you to work in pharmacy since you're studying it." Liam advised.
"Okay, thank you Liam." He closed his phone and went to the supermarket to buy groceries before going home.
"I don't think I'll ever be able to make you." He looked at the drawing he drew in his childhood, a weird shaped arm-like weapon, it had a lot of details on its parts. "Or maybe I will." He got to his workshop and started working on his devices, his dream was to become a superhero since childhood so he always tried creating something that could grant him powers like his favorite hero.
After some time working it was already midnight so he entered his storage.
Julian looked around at all the devices he made and then at the suit in the middle before putting his new device on the shelf. "That's great." He looked at the other things he made before noticing his first invention. "That…" he held it and looked before throwing it to the wall with anger. "That's just a child's dream, you're an adult now." He grabbed a hammer and destroyed most of his creations before looking at the suit, he then went out and closed the room.
He went to make breakfast and noticed the time. "Oh, I forgot about the university." Julian then ran out in a rush after changing to get a taxi.
"Hey, Liam." He saw his friend while running to the building.
"So, did you give up yet?" He smirked smugly at him.
"No, and I won't." Julian pushed Liam's face away from him before going inside, remembering what he did this morning.
"When are we playing? I'm stuck at this level and I need help." asked Liam with annoyance.
"I'm busy, maybe next week." He went to the classroom before noticing a few people bullying his other friend Leo, he turned away and sat on his seat.
"What are you drawing?" Liam got closer.
"An actuator, trying to fix some problems in my design, you?" Julian looked at Liam.
"Oh, I don't draw." He chuckled before looking at the door.
Suddenly, the professor entered the hall and started lecturing.
After the class the professor took Julian away to talk. "Listen, Julian. I'm noticing your weak performance is becoming a bit… non-existent, the dean is planning to kick you so either you work hard or you get kicked." The professor told him, worried.
"That's great I was already planning to leave, it wasn't even my idea to be here in the first place." He walked away and went to his place.
"Oh." He saw that his key can't open the door, then he read the message hanged on the door. "Julian, due to being late by a whole year for rent, I locked your place until you get the money. Your stuff is in the garage, it's open." He walked to get his stuff. "I hate this, maybe I should've stayed in my mom's house." Then he noticed the small raindrops above him. "Great."
His phone started ringing. "Hello? I'm Julian, who's calling?" He was silent for a moment and closed the phone. "Well." He started walking away from the building.
An hour later, he went to the graveyard as they buried his mother.
"Julian?" An old man asked.
"Yes?" Julian looked at him.
"Your mother has left you the house she was living in and the money she had, it's not much but I think I had to inform you. I'm Jefferson by the way, your mother's friend." The man smiled before walking away.
Julian went to his mother's house after some time and drank a can of soda. "I didn't get a job, dropped out of university and now I only have this house and the money my mother had." He looked at the ceiling, before falling asleep from tiredness.
The next day Julian woke up and stretched his body before standing up. "Such a beautiful day." He said sarcastically while looking around the old house.
He went to the bathroom and washed his face before looking at the mirror. "Hm?" He noticed a weird dot on the corner of his eyesight.
"What is that?" He tried rubbing his eyes. "Am I getting blind?" He pressed on the dot and the time stopped around him before he got teleported to a strange place.

He found himself at the bathroom again. "That was weird." He brushed his teeth and changed before walking outside and looking around him then he got a sudden call.
"Hi?" Julian answered to the unknown number.
