I got... Home, yeah, this is now my house. Once I stopped inside I smiled at what's now mine. 'Be happy Later. I need to work.' I made my way down to the Workshop and looked around.
'This place needs an upgrade. But it'll work for now.' "Jarvis, you there?" - "For you always." - "Good. Let's get to work."
.
I looked down at the Arc reactor in my hand and smiled. "This reactor put the original to shame." {It looks like the reactor from the beginning of Iron Man 2.}
I started to put sensors on my as I hit the coms.
"Pepper." - "Oh, you finally decided to talk to me." - "Yeah, sorry. I got busy. Can you come down here?" - "What for?" - "Just come please." I heard a sigh as she stopped the connection.
I was lying down as she walked into the Workshop.
Pepper: "I swear to god Tony. We are not going to continue this routine." She stopped when she saw me. "No. No. I'm not putting my hand in your chest."
"Come on. I need you. You know there's a loose wire that I need corrected." - "You can forget about it." - "Please Pep. I have no one else." - "Build someone." - "Please."
She walked closer to me and I could see she was thinking about it.
Pepper: "You know this isn't fair. You got to be a billionaire, and I get to be your assistant." - "I wasn't a billionaire, but it's still close to how we got together the first time." - "Are we still together, we haven't talked about it. You did that speech then locked yourself in this workshop." - "You don't want to be together?" - "I never said that." - "I thought, you know, we'd still be good. I just needed to get all these memories straight, and needed to make a replacement Reactor."
She walked over to my desk without saying a word and saw the blueprints for the Mark 1 on my desk.
Pepper: "You're going to be Iron Man, aren't you?" - "I have to at least take the weapons out of the 10 rings hands." - "That's Dangerous. You know I don't like you doing dangerous things." - "Then help me. I can make you a suit. I can make you Rescue?" - "I'll think about it."
I smiled and pulled out the older Reactor from my chest. "But before I can do that, I need my new reactor I made. So, can you please."
She squinted her eyes and sighed. "Fine! But never again, and I mean it. Never."
I put the reactor on the table. "Fine with me. That's all I need."
She walked over and hovered over the hole.
Pepper: "You know I hate you right now." - "And I love you."
She reached her hand in and paused when she reached the discharge.
Pepper: "So disgusting." - "I know. Now remember don't."
I was shocked as she ran the wire alongside the walls.
Pepper: "Ops. Did that hurt?" - "I glared at her as she handed me the wire.
I grabbed the base plate and arched it in place then snapped the new reactor in.
"So much better."
Pepper looked at the old reactor. "You want to keep that down here?" - "No, take it wherever you want." - "You sure, you might." - "I know what he has planned. I'm not stupid enough to let him do it." - "Whatever you say. Boss. Just don't get yourself killed." - "Me? No, don't you know, I'll be Iron Man.
Speaking of that. I think I should get to work." - "You will take a break for dinner tonight." - "Yes, Ma'am."
She rolled her eyes and walked to the door, then upstairs.
"Okay, J. It's time to get back to work. But first. Dum-E why is there blood right there? Clean it please."
.
Once all of that was put away I sat on the computer and inputted everything, then moved it to the Holotable.
"What do you think J. Way too bulky?" - "It could definitely use some upgrades." - "Just what I was thinking. I also think, while I do that, I'll upgrade you too." - "No need for that sir, I'm running smoothly." - "Yes, but I looked through your system, and it seemed like there was some loophole that someone could use against me. That needs to be fixed, and might as well do some upgrades while I'm at it."
