BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!

The loud siren blared, resounding throughout the apartment complex where Zhangi rested. His eyes gradually opening roused by the loud sound from outside, unsure of its origin.

Exhausted and unable to respond, he placed the pillow over his head and attempted to sleep once more. Despite his attempts to silence the alarm, it only grew increasingly louder until he reached his breaking point, exclaiming

"Damn it, what is that!?"

He scratched his head in annoyance, unable to endure it any longer. He reflected inwardly, thinking to himself

"Why can't I sleep in peace for once!"

He hesitantly rose to investigate the noise, hastily throwing on some random clothes lying on the floor of his cluttered room. Before arriving at the door, Zhangi heard the noise cease

He remained in place for several seconds confused if the sound was really gone, before he could think a flashing light began to shine, brightening the windows of his apartment blue

He moved towards his windows to draw back the curtains, paying attention to the sounds of water splashing and sporadic flashes of lightning. There it was, a luminous round portal with a liquid-like look and bolts of lightning emerging from it defying all that Zhangi thought was possible; he needed to wake up from this dream he thought

Nevertheless, it captivated him with wonder despite the potential risks it might pose. He sensed an attraction to move nearer to it almost like it was calling to him. He remained in place with his hand on the window, amazed by its beauty

A deep feminine voice resonated in his ears, instructing him

"Come here"

Similar to a soothing lullaby his mother sang, the voice echoed itself

"Come here"

He ultimately submitted and decided to descend to discover whatever was addressing him. Each step he took felt weightier than the last as he wondered if this was truly a wise decision

"What's the matter with me…?"

The voice in his mind continued to repeat the same phrases as he felt puzzled about why he would heed the voice's guidance. Believing he was being controlled but can't do anything about it

Finally, he was facing it, and despite all his uncertainties, it was even more stunning up close. It was as if everything he believed was mistaken all this time.

Suddenly the portal turned crimson, and the blaring siren started to resound once more. At that instant, he realized he'd made a mistake, as the now crimson portal began to pull him in like a black hole starting with his feet. He attempted to resist by clutching the ground but ultimately failed.

"Shit! NO! NO!"

He started twirling through the portal that revolved around him endlessly inside. He groaned and fought to stay awake while his whole body spun around and turned constantly, contemplating

"Is this truly everything?"

He stated as he wasn't ready to surrender yet

"I haven't even completed high school yet!"

Zhangi expressed his frustration, lamenting that everything was concluding in such a odd and meaningless way

He gritted his teeth and began to actively resist, yelling and bellowing at the peak of his voice while being taken to an unknown destination.

"What about my aspirations..!?"

"What about everything my mother sacrificed for me!?"

"Come on Zhangi, you can do this!"

"I can't quit!"

"Not yet!"

"Not ever!"

He yelled as his memories began to flood into his mind, revealing his past.

- Flashback

He was blessed with a loving and beautiful mother who consistently nurtured him; on the day of his birth, Zhangi's mother "Yuai Yu Xin" experienced the greatest joy of her life. Although being a single mother, she took care of Zhangi the best she could.

Sacrificing her time and energy and also her career in the music industry. Even with the defiance of her parents and friends, she still raised him herself not caring what they thought of her child.

Zhangi loved his mother dearly but he always saw himself as something that was in her way, he never felt like he deserved his mothers love and wanted to be less of a burden to his mother wanting to be independant as soon as possible so he can and give his mother back everything she gave

him.

That dream soon sunk as Yuai died from Huntingtons disease at the age of 36, Zhangi refused to take any help from relatives who wouldn't help before and lived by himself. Zhangi had just gotten a job and could now pay his apartment himself not taking any money from his grandparents any longer being embarrassed to even need their help in the first place

The spinning slowly stopped as everying faded to black with a strong piercing sound in his ear constantly ringing. After fighting to stay awake he finally had a minute to rest and think about his situation.

"Is it over yet?"

"What now.."

Suddenly the voice from before started to create static noises, blurring the piercing sound that started after. The voice slowly shifted to a more Robotic and metallic female voice

He flinched unexpectedly looking around as he was still floating around endlessly in a black realm which was slowly moving him forward

"Huh.."

He thought confused and still lightheaded from all the spinning from before

"What is that.."

< Loading... 10%>

"What's going on..!?"

"What? Who was that?"

A pink glowing and floating device appeared with text saying the same thing as the voice inside his head

"Woah..!"

He tried touching it but it was useless, it's as if it didn't exist and only his eyes could percieve it's existence

"Am I dreaming? Am I dead?"

"Calamity system? What the hell does that even mean..?"

"Calamity? What do you mean?"

He said utterly shocked and confused on what this voice meant

A loud ding sounded in his head

He felt a weird tingling in his brain making him slowly lose consciousness

Before he lost all consciousness he heard the system say

Then he fell unconscious for what felt like an eternity just thinking of his mother Yuai most of the time

- After ??? amount of time

"How long has it been..."

He said in his head feeling like he was asleep for years

"Did I die..?"

His eyes started to slowly open and what he saw was water. Not just water, water was all around him, no he was submerged in it

"Water...?"

Bubbles rose from where his mouth was as he felt himself sinking deeper, his ears filled with sounds of blurred liquid. His eyes dialed in realization, he quickly tried to swim up with all the strength he could muster

"Mmph!"

Zhangi struggled to make it to the surface his energy waining as he just woke up to this surprising predicament. He almost makes it to the surface before he succumbs, falling unconscious again from the lack of air despite trying his best

"Damn it not again...!"

He thought in frustration as his eyes closed shut. As he floated to the top of the water, his chest began to glow and created cracks around where it laid.

Soon the tidal waves woke up Zhangi, the tides constantly hitting his feet. Zhangi woke up his eyes fluttering open, his eyes stung a little from the salt water he was just in.

He flung up shortly after coughing up all the water that got into his throat.

"Ugh.."

He rubbed his eyes a little, finally looking up he saw a massive new world unknown to him.

Massive beasts roared, fast birds the size of planes screeched in the distance. A massive sized fish sprung up from the water with its rainbow scales.

"Where the hell am I!?"

He exclaimed attracting the attention of a group of giant monsters to him

"Shit!"

He booked it running as fast as he could to hide somewhere.

"WHAT THE FUCK IS A VALENIA!?"

He said still running for his life almost shitting his pants in the process trying not to stop and clench his butt to prevent his natural product from leaking out. His face showing his obvious discomfort and pain
