Chapter 6 - CHAPTER 6

The Wrath of Hangfang

The scene resumed with Hangfang standing motionless, his aura unsettlingly calm as his enemies closed in around him. Suddenly, an ominous voice cut through the tense air, firm and commanding, "Stop right there. I'll handle this."

A sinister smile crept across Hangfang's lips, and a low chuckle escaped him, growing louder and more menacing until it echoed through the dense jungle. His laughter carried a weight that made even the wind seem to hesitate, its chilling tone sending shivers through the air. Slowly, an oppressive aura began to radiate from his body, spreading across a staggering radius of 5,000 kilometers.

The atmosphere grew suffocating. The creatures of the jungle—wild beasts, demon monsters, and ancient hidden entities—felt an instinctive dread. Without hesitation, they fled, driven by the primal terror of something far beyond their understanding.

Hangfang stopped laughing abruptly, his glowing eyes cutting through the darkness. Then, in a blur too fast for the human eye, he moved. In an instant, he had the leader of the attackers in his grasp, one powerful hand wrapped around the man's neck. With a sickening crack, he slammed him into the ground, the force so immense it shattered the man's body into fragments, scattering blood and flesh like a macabre storm.

Standing amidst the carnage, Hangfang's figure was both terrifying and mesmerizing—blood dripping from his hands, staining his clothes. He lifted the leader's severed head, tilted it back, and drank deeply from the blood that still flowed. The act was primal, horrifying in its rawness, and the metallic scent of blood mixed with the heavy silence that followed.

With the head discarded, Hangfang raised his hand toward the sky. A black sword materialized from the void, its presence as unnerving as the man himself. The blade radiated a dark aura, thick with the energy of countless lives it had claimed. It felt alive, its hunger for blood palpable.

Sword in hand, Hangfang advanced toward the remaining attackers. Fear twisted their faces as they tried to retreat, but escape was futile. With one fluid motion, he swung the sword. The energy released was devastating, their bodies torn apart in a grotesque display of destruction. When it was over, the jungle floor was soaked in blood, the aftermath a grim testament to Hangfang's fury.

He looked down at the scene before him, his expression unreadable, and muttered, "You should feel honored. You died by my sword."

Then, his body dissolved into black smoke, vanishing into the night, leaving only silence and devastation in his wake.

The Witnesses

From a distance, Xiao Yi had been watching everything unfold. Her fists were clenched tightly, her face a mix of disgust and reluctant admiration. "How revolting," she muttered, her tone laced with sarcasm. "He flexes his power by slaughtering these pests like that."

The man in black beside her chuckled softly. "You don't seem impressed, but those weren't just ordinary pests," he said, his voice calm. "They were members of the Universe Demon Clan."

Xiao Yi's expression shifted, her eyes widening slightly. "The Universe Demon Clan? If that's true, then…" She paused, her voice tinged with reluctant respect. "Maybe that boy has more potential than I thought."

The Aftermath

Back in the jungle, silence hung heavy over the blood-soaked ground. A sect elder cautiously entered the forest, his robes flowing as he moved. He had come in search of Hangfang but froze as he stumbled upon the carnage.

The sight was overwhelming. Bodies were scattered everywhere, many unrecognizable. The stench of death was suffocating. The elder's heart pounded as his eyes darted from one mangled corpse to the next. "What… what kind of monster could have done this?" he whispered, his voice trembling.

Venturing deeper, he found the remains of the attackers' leader. His legs gave out beneath him, and he collapsed to his knees. His breath came in ragged gasps as he stared at the shattered remains. "This isn't the work of a human," he muttered, shaking his head. "Whoever did this didn't just kill them—they obliterated them. They were nothing but insects to him."

The elder's voice dropped to a whisper as realization dawned on him. "Could it have been… Hangfang?"

A New Threat

Far from the jungle, Hangfang reappeared in the city, his aura still radiating power. He moved as though nothing had happened, but he was unaware that his actions had not gone unnoticed.

In the shadows of the Universe Demon Clan's lair, a council of powerful beings had gathered. The air was thick with tension as they discussed the deaths of their members.

A deep voice broke the silence, rumbling like distant thunder. "This boy… Hangfang. He's far more dangerous than we anticipated. If left unchecked, he could become a threat to our entire clan."

Another figure leaned forward, their glowing eyes piercing through the darkness. "We can't afford to let him grow stronger. Send the elite assassins. This time, he won't escape."

With their decision made, a dark energy began to ripple across the universe, heralding a confrontation more brutal and mysterious than anyone could imagine.
