Paul's POV
Wait. I'm in a dark forest, surrounded by thick, long trees and bushes. Where am I? Why am I here? The ground was a bit muddy, but I managed to walk on it with heavy steps. I had this weird feeling that someone was watching me.
Out of nowhere, I saw some werewolves gathering under a cave. I was too stunned to even think or move from my place. Maybe it was better to leave the area immediately, but the only problem was I couldn't find the way out.
I was running away from the cave to avoid encountering another group of werewolf. I looked up and found full moon on the night sky, the moonlight shone throughout the dark forest, with all of the stars sparkling nearby.
However, it was all interrupted when a werewolf jumped behind the bushes and charged towards me. Before I could react to the situation, I screamed and got up from my bed, trying to calm myself down.
"Don't kill me!!!" I wrapped myself with the blanket and breathed heavily, I could hear my mother's voice from the kitchen, asking me whether I'm alright. But, I was still not over with the horrible dream of those werewolves, I couldn't even think straight.
My mother rushed into my room and shook me slightly. "Paul!!! Paul!! What's the matter?! Why did you scream?!!!"
I snapped out when I heard my mother's voice next to me. She pushed away my blanket and hugged me tight. I couldn't answer her back anything, as my mind kept recalling about the dream I had.
What did I even dream? Why it all looked so real?

It was already half past ten at night time, I must have dozed off throughout the whole evening since I was busy helping my mother for a village festival since morning. I couldn't even remember when did I even fall asleep, I was too tired to even think about it.
I was sweeping off the snow on the ground as it was messy all around the house. Suddenly, someone called me out in front of me. Someone...whom I would never regret to hear from.
"Hi Paul!!" It was her, Emma. Emma was the woman who lived next door. One thing she didn't know, was that the fact that she was the love of my life. I had been in love with her since the first time I met her, but I had been hiding my feelings from her so she won't find out soon.
"Hey, Emma!! What a surprise, what are you doing here?" I asked while I put the rake away and stood up straight.
"Well, I was just about to go to the Dark Forest to collect some woods, my mom needed some for fire." She was holding an axe with her right hand, that explained it. However, I had the feeling that she was going alone in the forest, which made me feel worried.
"Are you going alone perhaps?" I asked with a bit of nervousness in me.
"Yes, I am. The forest is not that far, so I can go on my own." Emma assured me with a smile, but I couldn't let it slide away. I have to go to her to ensure she's safe, I couldn't let her go alone and face the dangers of the woods.
"Can I come with you? So that...I can help you?" I asked but not being obvious that I want to be with Emma right now.
"Sure, let's go then." she said with a smile, which made my heart flutter so hard. This was the greatest opportunity to get closer to her, I shouldn't waste this no matter what.

Emma and I have finally reached the Dark Forest, it was not quite far away from our Frost Village, so it was not a big deal. I was accompanying her when she was chopping off some woods and branches from the tree. I was holding a lamp with my right hand to stay in the light so we won't get lost in the woods.
I looked around the forest in every corner, and I suddenly felt something fishy. I couldn't help but to feel that I had been in this forest before and I had seen it somewhere, but I couldn't remember when.
"All right, it's all done. Let's go." I wasn't paying attention to Emma, as I was deeply looking around the forest. She immediately shook my shoulder, which I snapped at her in a fast speed.
"Emma! What's the matter?" I gulped down when she was frowning at herself.
"What are you looking at? I was calling you but you didn't listen to me?" Oh god, am I being so distracted by this forest already? I guess we should call it a night and leave the forest as soon as possible.
"It's nothing, so shall we go?" Emma nodded her head and we walked together to the exit. As we were walking past some thick trees, we heard some deep growls around us. Emma was terrified and she held my arm tightly.
"Paul.....what was that?" I assured Emma that everything would be fine, I raised the lamp and looked around the forest. Until, I saw some creepy red eyes from the bushes. I widened my eyes in shock, I was about to confront them, but I didn't notice that there was a cliff in front of me, I hit my foot on a stone and I fell down from the cliff.
I left the lamp on top along with Emma, who was screaming my name out loud when I was falling down.
"PAULLLLL!!!!!!!!"
