In this world, everyone has superpowers. It's a normality, and here we call them talents.

Talents are usually categorized into many types, including major ones like strength, speed, creation abilities and physic powers. Many other talents apply under this category.

And to gauge the extent to which a talent can reach, we have machines called consoles to measure superpowers and attribute them into rankings.

Rankings range from E to rare SSS ranks. Although the E rank does exist in the console, no talent has ever been that weak even in its weakest mode.

Everyone in this world has ranks gauged from D-SSS, with only 7 SSS rankers in existence. These seven people were popularly known as the seven horsemen.

They had the strongest type of superpowers, usually referred to as the Toxic talents, a type of talent that could easily maneover every other. It had no exact power display as most included Aura Manipulation, Void and others were just hybrids, people born with two talents.

And with their gift, this world looked up to them for salvation from threats and the government made efforts to keep them as allies, since they couldn't control them.

And of course, with the dominant presence of superpowers, evil was bound to surface. A legion of villains, assassins and criminals were being led by three of the seven horsemen, the ones that couldn't be flagged under the alliance of the government.

And for this reason, criminality skyrocketed in politics and order of the world, nowadays, even a prisoner who was under the sponsor of an horseman could contest for a political seat.

And they made sure it was done under all legal rights.

To cut this not so long summary short, the horsemen ruled the world, not the government.

And that was the kind of power Michael wanted, SSS rank!
