The police had intensified their search for Ryohta, but he remained elusive. Inspector Nakamura was frustrated, his team working around the clock to track him down. Meanwhile, Aika and Yumi were under constant surveillance, their every move monitored by the police. But even with the increased security, Aika couldn't shake the feeling that Ryohta was still out there, watching, waiting.
One evening, as Aika was closing up the café, she noticed a small package on the counter. It was wrapped in plain brown paper, just like the previous letters. Her heart sank as she picked it up, her hands trembling.
Yumi noticed her expression and frowned. "What is it?"
Aika showed her the package, her voice shaking. "It's from him. It has to be."
Yumi's eyes widened. "Don't open it. Call the police."
Aika nodded, her hands trembling as she reached for her phone. But before she could dial, the package began to beep. Her heart raced as she realized what it was—a bomb.
"Get down!" Yumi shouted, pulling Aika to the floor.
The explosion rocked the café, sending debris flying and shattering the windows. Aika's ears rang as she struggled to her feet, her vision blurred. Yumi was beside her, her face pale but determined.
"Are you okay?" Yumi asked, her voice barely audible over the ringing in Aika's ears.
Aika nodded, though her hands were trembling. "We need to get out of here."
As they stumbled out of the café, the police arrived, their sirens blaring. Inspector Nakamura was among them, his expression grim as he surveyed the damage.
"Are you okay?" he asked, his voice filled with concern.
Aika nodded, though her mind was still reeling. "He's here. He's close."
Inspector Nakamura's expression hardened. "We'll find him, Aika. He can't hide forever."
