Chapter 1 - chapter 1

The sky was calm, the clouds drifting in the blue expanse, when suddenly a figure broke through them, plummeting toward the earth. Every Pokémon nearby paused, their eyes drawn to the sky in awe and confusion as the figure fell faster and faster.

It was a person, tumbling chaotically through the air—a young man named Arlot, the unexpected protagonist of this bizarre moment. How did he end up in this situation? Well... even he didn't know. It just happened.

As Arlot continued to fall, he gritted his teeth, struggling against the spinning. With a sharp inhale, he twisted his body and managed to stabilize himself midair, arms and legs spread out like a skydiver.

"Holy cow! What is happening? Why am I falling?!" Arlot's voice tore through the wind, panic clear as day.

His heart pounded as he glanced downward, the vast landscape rapidly coming into focus. Trees, mountains, rivers—everything seemed impossibly far yet terrifyingly close.

Though he wasn't one to fear heights, this was an entirely different experience. His breath hitched as he realized the ground was rushing toward him far too quickly for comfort.

"What the hell!! Am I going to die?!" Arlot shouted, his voice breaking slightly, fear creeping in despite his efforts to stay calm.

Below him, the Pokémon began to gather, whispering to one another in their own tongues, unsure if this was some divine intervention or just a very unlucky human. Some pointed—or rather, gestured—with their paws or wings, while others tilted their heads in confusion. A few braced themselves, as if expecting some kind of impact.

And yet, as Arlot plummeted through the sky, he couldn't help but wonder: Was this how his story was supposed to begin?

Suddenly, a blue blur shot across the landscape with incredible speed, leaving trails of water-like ripples in its wake. The majestic form of Suicune leaped gracefully into the air, aiming straight for the falling figure.

Arlot, oblivious to his impending savior, kept his eyes tightly shut, bracing for the worst. He didn't want to see his life flash before him or, worse, the ground rushing up to greet him. Seconds felt like minutes. Minutes felt like hours. Yet… no impact came.

Instead, he felt a strange tugging sensation. His body swayed, as though suspended in midair, and something firm but gentle was gripping him. It wasn't rough, like claws, or slimy, like some Pokémon might have. No, it was secure, like being held by the scruff of his shirt.

Slowly, Arlot dared to open his eyes. The sunlight stung for a moment, but as his vision adjusted, his hands instinctively flew to his chest and limbs.

"I'm alive?!" he blurted out, patting himself all over to confirm. "I'm alive! Yahoooo!" His joyous shout echoed in the air.

But then curiosity overtook him. What— or rather, who— had saved him? He craned his neck, looking upward.

What greeted him was nothing short of breathtaking. Scarlet-red eyes stared back at him with an intense, calm confidence. Blue fur—was it fur? Maybe—shimmered in the sunlight, while a flowing purple mane trailed behind, swaying like a river in the wind. Its sheer elegance felt surreal, almost divine.

Arlot's mouth hung open for a moment before he found his voice. "Holy—it's Suicune?!" he stammered, his shock evident.

The legendary Pokémon said nothing, of course, its expression unreadable as it carried him down toward the ground with effortless grace.

Arlot had never seen Suicune in real life before. Well, technically, he had—but it didn't count. Those were just episodes of a Pokémon show he used to watch as a kid, or the pixelated version in games he played on his handheld console. But now?

Now, this wasn't a screen, or a game, or a dream. It was real. The Suicune he'd only ever known as part of a childhood dream was standing right in front of him, as solid and alive as the ground he nearly smashed into moments ago. It was surreal, like stepping into a world that shouldn't exist but somehow did.

Still clinging to his disbelief, Arlot blinked and looked around. His eyes widened further as he noticed countless Pokémon gathered nearby. They were all staring at him, some wide-eyed with curiosity, others cautiously keeping their distance.

"Pokémon…" he muttered, the word escaping his lips like an epiphany. These weren't CGI or drawings. They were Pokémon—actual, living, breathing Pokémon. He felt like his brain was short-circuiting trying to process it.

Shaking his head slightly, Arlot turned his attention back to the majestic Suicune, who had saved his life. It stood quietly, its body glowing faintly in the sunlight, the purple mane still flowing in a way that seemed almost supernatural.

Arlot's lips quivered into a small, sheepish smile. "Thank you for saving me, Suicune. I… I don't have anything to give you to show my gratitude, but… I can at least say it. Thank you." His voice was earnest, though tinged with nervousness.

Suicune met his gaze for a moment, its red eyes calm and unreadable. Then, without a word, it turned gracefully, its movements as fluid as water, and began to walk away.

"Wait—" Arlot started, but stopped himself. It didn't feel right to demand anything of such a majestic being. He watched silently as Suicune's form shimmered in the light, growing fainter with each step, until it disappeared entirely, as if vanishing into thin air.

The gathered Pokémon began to disperse, their initial curiosity fading now that Suicune was gone. Most wandered back into the wilderness, but a few lingered, their eyes still fixed on Arlot, intrigued by this strange human who had fallen from the sky.

Arlot stood there, scratching the back of his head awkwardly. He glanced at the few Pokémon that stayed, their curious eyes watching him closely. "Uh… hi?" he said with a nervous laugh, unsure of what to do next.

As Arlot stood there awkwardly, unsure of what to do next, a pink-colored Pokémon stepped forward from the small group that had stayed behind. Its big, friendly eyes and floppy ears gave off a warm, comforting aura.

"Auudinoo~" the Pokémon greeted, tilting its head slightly and giving a little wave.

Arlot blinked, surprised. "Hello, Audino," he replied, his voice hesitant but friendly.

The Audino nodded in acknowledgment before turning to look at the other Pokémon, seemingly signaling to them that Arlot was harmless. With a soft, melodic cry, "Au, Audino~," it reassured the others, and some of the more hesitant Pokémon relaxed, stepping closer or wandering off, satisfied with Audino's judgment.

Arlot took a cautious step forward and decided to ask a question. "Is this… the Unova region?"

He had no idea where he was, but Audino was a Pokémon found in Unova. Then again, he'd just been saved by Suicune, which was native to Johto—or was it Kanto? Legendary Pokémon like Suicune probably had duties all over the world.

Audino tilted its head again, clearly processing the question. After a moment, it responded cheerfully, "Audinooo~ Audino~."

Arlot scratched the back of his neck and let out a nervous laugh. "I… don't really understand what you're saying, but I'll take that as a yes? Or… maybe no?"

Audino smiled, its expression kind and patient, but that didn't help Arlot feel any less clueless. He sighed and rubbed his temples. "Right… I'm just a human. Wait, am I even a human here? What if I'm an alien to you guys?" he muttered to himself, the weight of his bizarre situation sinking in.

He glanced at the ground, deep in thought. 'I mean, I literally fell into this world from the sky. That's not normal.' His eyes narrowed slightly. 'What if this is like one of those stories where people from another world are dropped into someone else's domain? I just hope I didn't accidentally offend some god or something.'

Arlot shivered and muttered under his breath, "I just hope that Rayquaza doesn't come hunting me down…"

Audino tilted its head again at his mumbling, looking confused . The other Pokémon watched silently, some seemingly more curious than ever about this strange human who talked to himself and worried about mythical Pokémon.

Arlot let out a long sigh and looked up at the sky where he'd fallen from. "Okay… no point in overthinking this. Let's just figure out where I am and what's going on before I get myself into more trouble…"

Audino stepped forward, gesturing as if to guide him. With no better option, Arlot decided to follow.

The other Pokémon, satisfied with their curiosity, began to disperse, returning to whatever they had been doing before Arlot's unexpected arrival. Soon, it was just Arlot and Audino left.

Taking a deep breath, He walked a few steps behind, still processing everything that had happened.

"Hey, Audino," Arlot asked, his voice filled with cautious optimism. "Is there a town or city near here?"

Audino turned its head slightly and responded cheerfully, "Audinooo~ Audino~."

Arlot groaned internally. 'Right… Pokémon language.' He stopped walking for a moment and tried to think of a better way to communicate. "Okay, never mind. Let me ask again. If the answer is yes, nod. If it's no, shake your head. Got it?"

Audino paused and turned to him, nodding with an enthusiastic "Audinooo~."

Arlot sighed in relief. "Good. Let's try this again, then." He hesitated for a second, scratching his head awkwardly. "Uh… so, Miss Audino—"

"Audino~!" the Pokémon interrupted, shaking its head firmly.

Arlot blinked, taken aback. "Wait… you're male?"

Audino nodded, his expression calm but firm, as if to correct the misunderstanding.

Arlot coughed awkwardly. "Ahem. My bad, then. Sorry about that. Okay, let's try this properly. So… Audino, is there a city or town near here?"

Audino nodded again, this time with a cheerful "Audinooo~," confirming Arlot's question.

"Finally, progress!" Arlot exclaimed, clapping his hands together. "Alright, lead the way, buddy."
