Chapter 3 - Journey South

Albion the white dragon was the smallest dragon Father had... but even Albion was bigger than Vhagar and grew to be larger than Balerion the black dread during his reign, a beautiful dragon, but easily the most temperamental of all the dragons, and the most beautiful to all that have laid eyes on her, the white queen is a truly terrifying creature.

 ~Aemond Targaryen to Brandon Tyrell

Hours upon hour Aegon persisted not stopping even for water or eating, doing both while on the move.

For most normal people they might have quit already but, this was far easier than the training he had to endure to become an assassin in his previous life so he endured not having any intention of stopping until he physically couldn't move anymore.

He was sure he had at least a day before anyone would be sent to search for him, they would notice he was gone when they had breakfast but he was sure no one would be sent to search out of the castle until hours later after already having searched the castle itself.

By then they would never be able to find any of his tracks.

Another thing he planned to use this journey south for was gaining points, he wanted at least six hundred points before he arrived on Dragonstone.

It was a big number, and he knew he probably wouldn't reach it but the higher one dreamed the better.

The hours passed until after sixteen hours Aegon physically couldn't carry on and stopped for a rest.

He sat on the snow-covered ground trying desperately to catch his breath, as he leaned back on a tree. He looked up to see the sun and smiled.

The promise of dragons and more power was all the motivation he needed to get him through this journey, he looked at the system panel his eyes staying on the sixty free points he currently had.

He wanted to use them to enhance his weak body and improve his sword skills and even archery skills but he didn't know if the improvement would be worth it right now.

Responding the system chimed.

( Twenty points in body or mind is equal to half of your base increase forty points would be double, as for blood it only makes significant changes at certain milestones you already know the first one. For skills, ten points can increase the level up to lv ten but after that each increase to lv fifteen doubles with the increase to lv eleven being one thousand points.)

Aegon listened, and he quickly decided what to do, even though he was physically tired his mind moved a thousand miles a second, going over his plans ready to make adjustments, something he learned from being an assassin, being adaptable.

"Hey, system can you find all the bandits from here to Kingslanding?"

(There are fifteen different bandit groups, each with an average of ten members, not too far out of your way on the way to Kingslanding; there are twenty-five if you want to add another month to your journey south.)

'Good, that's more than enough. Fifteen groups are enough even if everyone only gives the lowest amount of points which is seven hundred and fifty more than originally set as my goal.'

"System put forty points into body, and thirty points to increase swordsmanship and Archery."

Name: Aegon Targaryen

Age: 14

Free Points: 0

Skills ( max skill level is 15/ normal people can only reach lv10 max in any skill): Swordsman (lv 6), dagger (lv 2) Archery (lv 6)

Body: 65

Mind:30

Blood:10 ( only people with magical blood have points in blood)

Suddenly a warm energy enveloped Aegon's body, his muscles twitched and expanded his bones felt like they were melting. But the pain didn't last long as a feeling of relief came washing over and the tiredness he was feeling quickly disappeared, then came a flood of information on sword techniques and the right ways to use a bow and arrow. Years of experience he felt like he had used a sword and bow for decades.

Aegon quickly checked the changes in his body and noticed his height had increased and he felt much stronger than before, even though the feeling was false he thought he could knock a bear down with one punch.

The feeling was addicting, making Aegon want to go out and kill in mass to get more points to use.

Now full of energy Aegon rose to his feet and moved on, but he quickly stopped and looked the the right, he quickly made eye contact with a wolf.

Any normal person would have been afraid, but a smile crept onto Aegon's face. He knew this was the perfect opportunity for his first kill in this life.

Aegon didn't move, he knew any sudden movements might cause the wolf to run away so his attack would have to be quick and lethal. seconds passed and Aegon moved quickly pulling an arrow from the holder on his back nocking it and firing it in one precise movement.

WHOOSH!!

Squelch!!

The arrow flew through the sky and before the wolf could react the arrow accurately entered its side and the wolf dropped to the ground warm blood melting the snow around it.

( Ding host killed an adult male wolf +2 points )

Aegon ignored the system, approached the wolf pulled the arrow from its fallen body, then stepped over the body and carried on while putting the bloodied arrow back in the case on his back.

Aegon carried on with his journey this time his pace was even faster.

"System where is the closest bandit group? and also direct me to any animal close to me as long as it doesn't take me to far out of my way."

(Ding! map appearing red dot represents bandits orange represents animals and the green dot is the host.)

As he was moving a holographic map appeared in front of him updating as he moved, Aegon didn't see any animals in his immediate area but it seemed like he would meet up with some later, he also saw the bandits together ten members he could only assume that they were at their stronghold.

From what he could figure out the system map showed a very large area. He noticed he wouldn't be able to reach the bandits before at least mid-day on the next day.
