The academy is a breathtaking view. The novel Greyphis had read couldn't adequately describe its magnificence. It looked like something straight out of a fantasy novel...
The entrance was filled with loitering students, and Grey stood on the Academy lawn looking at the Academy in awe. It was bigger than he had ever expected.
Ravengarde Academy was said to be about the size of a small city, but he had never seen a city bigger than this!
Taking a closer look around, he began to recognize some of the students.
Narcissa Goldman, the self-centered, bratty girl. Her blonde hair, blue eyes, and ample body were enough to make any dumb idiot at the Academy fall for her instantly.
Sitting under the shade of an oak tree was Ophelia Grace, the (future) genius Alchemist. She wore big circle glasses and always had a dazed look on her face. She had jet-black pigtails and a freckly face.
By far, Blaine Stonefury was the easiest person to recognize. With bright orange hair and a body more toned than a sculpted marble statue, he wasn't easy to miss.
Hang on a second, where's the main character?
Grey's thoughts were cut off by a loud ether-boosted voice coming from the door to the Academy.
"Welcome, new students! Please follow me to your first exam!"
A woman who looked to be in her 50s voice boomed through the air like a lion's roar. This could only be one person, the headmaster of the Academy, Eldara Ravenwood.
All the students fall silent. All eyes are on the headmaster.
She starts walking, and everyone follows.
After we pass through the door, she leads us into a massive black Colosseum, straight out of ancient Rome. Every student is silent.
Suddenly-- CRAAACK!
Three doors rise from the sandy Colosseum floor: one red, one blue, and one green.
'Students, as you all may know, to be admitted to Ravengarde Academy, you must choose 2 of 3 exams. You can pick between Physical, Magical, or Mental. The exams change every year, so prior knowledge is USELESS!'
An audible groan comes from some of the students. They must have been dependent on their older sibling's information about the exams.
'Please make orderly lines and queue behind the door of the exam you want to attempt first.'
After some time, starting with the main characters, people hesitantly line up behind the coloured doors.
Blaine is the first person in line for the physical test. Second in line behind him is Grey.
Both Narcissa and Ophelia are in line 1st and 2nd place, respectively, for the magical exam.
"First participant, please enter," A voice comes from all around the stadium.
Blaine enters the door and leaves Greyphis staring at it.
'Am I really ready?'

He gets weird looks from the other students.
"I'M HERE, I'M HERE!" Comes a voice, saving Grey from his embarrassment.
A student around Grey's age bursts into the Colosseum. He has inky black hair, deep violet eyes, thick black glasses, and the stature of a trained swordsman.
'It's the main character!'
Thorin Ravenshadow has entered the story. To others, he may look like a fool who was late on his first day, but Greyphis knows that this guy is no fool. He is a typical stonehearted novel main character.
For a brief moment, Greyphis and Thorin lock eyes. Their moment is interrupted by the voice from the Colosseum,
"Second participant, please enter,"
There is no more time to waste, it's time for Greyphis' abilities to be put to the test.
