Chapter 40 - Ch 40. Sealing Jutsu and it's Future

Under Hana's guidance and drawing from the village's sealing techniques, Ron studied how each had evolved for different purposes. Ninja villages primarily adapted sealing jutsu for counterintelligence, surveillance, and security, while the Uzumaki Clan had historically specialized in energy control, combat-oriented fuinjutsu, and even techniques related to space and the spiritual realm. Each approach had its own distinct advantages and was something to learn from.

In the Naruto world, sealing techniques, or Fuinjutsu, revolve around restriction, containment, and the manipulation of chakra through intricate symbols and formulas sometimes called runes. By shaping the chakra in a controlled manner, seals serve various functions such as storing, suppressing, or releasing energy as needed.

These techniques rely on specific patterns, kanji, and runes, functioning similarly to scientific formulas. They can alter a person's abilities, suppress chakra, or form barriers. Some seals require sacrifices, such as life force or vast chakra reserves, to activate. Notable examples include the Eight Trigrams Sealing Style for Jinchūriki containment, the Five Elements Seal for chakra disruption, powerful barrier techniques like the Four Red Yang Formation, and Orochimaru's Curse Mark, which enhances power at a cost, also containing soul backup.

At their highest level, sealing jutsu govern energy flow, influence life itself, and even manipulate time-space, making them one of the most complex arts in the ninja world.

For Ron, however, sealing jutsu formed from characters and runes represented only the most rudimentary level. He viewed them through a different lens one akin to technology. At its core, fuinjutsu functioned like chakra-based logic, with runes acting as gates and transistors, similar to the circuits in electronic devices. Current sealing methods were crude and large, much like the early days of computing. But Ron saw their potential as a fusion of chakra engineering and programming, capable of controlling the energy at its most fundamental level to create a vast array of chakra phenomena.

Ron had always wondered how Scientific Ninja Tools came to exist in the Boruto era. Now, he could say for certain, they were born from a remarkable fusion of technology and chakra. But more importantly, he realized that sealing jutsu was the key to it all.

Sealing jutsu had captivated Ron, drawing him deeper into its mysteries. He saw its potential, not just as a tool of restriction but as a fundamental system that could unlock countless possibilities. In the ninja world, shinobi train their bodies and souls to adapt to chakra, gaining insights that shape their abilities, strengthen their bodies, and even form bloodline limits.

Over the years, Ron reached an important conclusion. It wasn't just those with inherited bloodline limits ordinary ninjas who trained diligently and extracted chakra also experienced gradual, genetic-level improvements. His own body's observation and many jonins were proof of this transformation.

Practicing nature transformation appeared to be another way in which a ninja's body evolved. Many clans had a natural affinity for specific chakra types, yet exceptions always existed, those with additional attributes or even multiple ones. Ron theorized that chakra affinity was primarily influenced by the soul rather than the body, although, over generations, these affinities could become hereditary.

Ninjas with multiple chakra attributes often possessed larger chakra reserves and greater talent. While chakra quantity was primarily linked to physical capabilities, Ron noted that mastering an additional nature not only improved a ninja's chakra capabilities but also expanded their reserves, a pattern commonly observed among Jonins.

Ultimately, Ron believed that chakra connected the body and soul, allowing them to influence each other. For ninjas, their ancestors passed down significant information through chakra and genetics, but it was up to their descendants to awaken it and continuously use it up to their ancestor's level or improve it. If left untapped, these traits could become recessive unless such chakra skills were consistently practiced across generations.

This insight led Ron to reconsider the origins of legendary figures like Hashirama Senju and Madara Uchiha. He theorized that their immense power stemmed from inheriting the chakra of Asura and Indra, respectively. This inheritance altered their bodies, granting them abilities beyond ordinary shinobi. However, bloodline alone was insufficient certain powers required compatible spiritual traits to manifest.

For example, Hashirama's descendants could not use Wood Release. This suggested that his ability wasn't solely due to his bloodline but rather his status as Asura's reincarnation. His chakra carried spiritual traits that allowed him to unlock abilities even Asura himself had never used, as Asura was never recorded as a Wood Release user.

Ron saw a pattern in the ninja world for common people, blood alone wasn't enough, unlike the Otsutsuki who probably has evolved under chakra for thousands of years, so every ability is thoroughly recorded in blood. Therefore for current ninjas soul played a crucial role in determining which abilities could be awakened or understood. Mastery requires comprehension, much like learning Nature Transformation.

However, with sealing jutsu, such abilities and phenomena could be artificially created without personal growth. Sealing techniques had the potential to generate various effects through the use of runes and seals.

Ron believed it was possible to develop tools that could transform chakra for their users, bypassing the need for a direct understanding of Nature Transformation, similar to how seals functioned through chakra imprinting.

Yet, despite this realization, Ron was firm in his beliefs. He would never create something that allowed people to gain power without effort. In his view, if ninjas relied on such tools, they would inevitably grow weaker. Without personal training and development, they would fail to evolve into stronger versions of themselves. Additionally, since sealing jutsu required chakra to function, a weak ninja force would ultimately be useless as without training they would not have much chakra or combat capabilities.

For that reason, Ron had no intention of creating tools that granted ninjas effortless strength. Instead, he saw potential in developing practical lifestyle enhancements perhaps an air conditioner or other conveniences.

More importantly, he aimed to create tools that could help ninjas train more effectively, pushing them toward greater growth rather than replacing the effort needed to achieve it.
