Chapter 6 - 6. Park

Pika woke up early in the morning. The sunlight peeked through her window, and she felt excited. Today was the day she wanted to wake up her friend, Bryan. Pika thought it would be fun to explore her city together. They could buy new things, eat some snacks, or even play soccer. But if they played soccer, Bryan would just have to use his finger, since he was so big.

Pika quickly got out of bed, brushed her hair, and headed to Bryan's room. She knew he would sleep a bit longer, so she came up with a plan. She found his alarm clock and turned it on. The loud ringing filled the room, and a few minutes later, Bryan slowly woke up and turned it off with his big hand.

"Good morning, Pika!" Bryan said, yawning. His voice was deep and friendly. "I need an hour to get ready. Then we can play soccer."

Pika smiled and nodded. "Okay! I will wait!"

She went to the dining room and climbed onto the table. Pika had placed ladders around her house so she could reach anything she wanted. She swung her legs back and forth as she waited, daydreaming about their adventure in the city.

After an hour, Bryan came out of his room, looking fresh and ready to go. He had a big smile on his face. "Let's do this!" he said, and they went outside.

"Um, Bryan, how about we go to my city?" Pika asked, her eyes sparkling with excitement.

Bryan thought for a moment. "Sure! But I remember those thugs who roam around. They can be trouble."

Pika nodded, understanding the concern. "But I will be safe with you, right?"

"Absolutely! I've got you covered," Bryan replied confidently.

With that, he gently picked her up and placed her in his pocket. The inside of his pocket was spacious, and Pika felt safe as he ran swiftly toward the human city. When they arrived, the city looked so tiny from Bryan's perspective. He placed her down on the sidewalk, and they talked about all the things they wanted to do.

"I want to get some new earphones!" Pika said excitedly. "Mine broke last week."

"Good idea!" Bryan replied. "Let's find you a pair."

As they walked, Bryan picked up a pair of earphones for her, and he made one for himself, too, weaving it with care. Now they could talk to each other even when they were apart. They both wore their new earphones proudly.

"Let's go to a café! I want something sweet!" Pika suggested, leading the way.

Bryan smiled and followed her. When they reached the café, Pika ordered a big chocolate muffin, and Bryan ordered a huge sandwich. Pika had never seen a sandwich so big before. After they ate, they decided to visit a nearby park.

In the park, Pika noticed her dog, a little fluffy creature named Buddy, running to some tree happily. "Sparky! Come here!" she shouted, running after her dog.

Suddenly, Bryan noticed something strange. He saw a group of thugs approaching, and they had guns, bats, and knives. They looked angry and trouble was brewing. "Pika! Watch out!" he yelled, but she couldn't hear him over the sound of her running.

The ground shook as Bryan took a giant step forward. His big foot landed right in front of Pika, creating a safe barrier between her and the thugs. The ground trembled, and Pika looked up to see Bryan's sneaker towering over her.

"Everything is okay. You're safe now," Bryan said, his huge voice calming her down.

Pika felt relieved when she realized Bryan had saved her from the bullies. Bryan thundered towards the thugs, using his size to scare them away. "You better leave her alone!" he shouted, and the thugs ran off, frightened.

But that was just the beginning. As Bryan helped Pika to her feet, he noticed that some people were trapped, scared in a nearby area. Bryan quickly stomped over and pushed aside the thugs who kept people locked away. With each step, he freed them, and they cheered for him.

"Thank you! You saved us!" they shouted happily.

"Thank you for helping us!" said one man, waving his arms gratefully.

Pika smiled and felt proud of Bryan. "You're a hero," she said. But she reminded him, "It's not just them. There are many more bad people out there."

Bryan nodded and said, "But for every bad one, there are good ones too."

As the day turned to evening, Bryan lifted Pika high and placed her on his head. "Let's go home now," he said, walking back together.

That night, as they settled in for bed, Pika and Bryan talked about their adventures. They laughed, remembering how they faced danger together and saved so many people.

"It was a great day," Bryan said, yawning.

"Yes, it was!" Pika replied cheerfully, closing her eyes.

They both drifted into a peaceful sleep, dreaming of more adventures to come, each feeling grateful for the friendship they shared and the safety they found in each other.
