Chapter 8 - 8. Savior?

Kimiki had been listening to the news all morning. Reports of an impending catastrophe filled the air. An Atomic Light Slash Bomb had been accidentally activated, and it was set to explode in just two hours. This wasn't just any explosion; it would be powerful enough to destroy everything in its path. Kimiki felt a knot in his stomach. He knew he had to do something to protect his city and the people he loved.

Deep in thought, Kimiki sat on a tall building's edge, his legs swinging. He brainstormed different scenarios. He could hide the Earth somehow, but where? What if he placed the Earth behind him? No, that wouldn't work. The light from the explosion could bend and still reach the planet. Another thought crossed his mind; could he throw the Earth somewhere far away? But with only two hours left, he knew he had limited time and options.

Suddenly, he overheard two scientists on the news talking about the bomb. "This was all an accident!" one of them declared. "The bomb was thrown away just to save the Earth!" Kimiki's heart raced; the bomb that would explode was threw by him! It was a big mistake, and now he had to face the consequences.

With only one hour remaining until the explosion, Kimiki's muscles tensed with determination. He needed a plan, and he needed it fast. As he raced home, he remembered a special capsule he had saved for emergencies. It was a small, shiny container, and it could hold something as grand as the universe itself.

He grabbed the capsule and felt its smooth surface in his hand. "This is it," he whispered to himself. He put it carefully into his pocket and began to grow. He focused his thoughts, and within moments, he was towered over the city. He waved down to the people, who gazed up in awe at the giant figure of Kimiki. Some cheered, some screamed, but all had their eyes fixed on him.

"Don't worry! I'm here to save you!" he called down, his voice booming like thunder. The citizens watched in wonder as he continued to grow, reaching the size of mountains and then far beyond. He grew until he was larger than the entire universe itself, stretching into the cosmic reaches where stars twinkled like tiny diamonds.

With the city below in full view, he took out the capsule. As it shimmered in his enormous hand, Kimiki felt the weight of responsibility pressing down on him. He opened the capsule and saw swirling galaxies, that he put inside it. "This will protect you all," he declared, his voice echoing through the vastness.

In one swift motion, he lifted the universe towards his mouth. The people watched, dumbstruck. "He's eating the universe!" someone cried out in panic, and murmurs began to ripple through the crowd. Cameras were set up, capturing this astonishing moment, while the citizens prayed silently for their safety.

As he swallowed the universe, an incredible sensation filled him. He felt the stars and planets shift in his stomach, a warm glow spreading within him. "This will shield you from the explosion. We'll be safe," he thought.

Just as he was about to prepare for the blast, bright light suddenly appeared in the sky. It shone brightly, illuminating everything in a radius, then began to grow; the Atomic Light Slash Bomb was about to go off. In that moment, the cameras flickered, and the screen showed chaos as the bright light engulfed everything.

The citizens, watching from their tiny perspective within Kimiki, could feel the heat and see the blinding glow. "What's happening?" cried a child, clutching his mother's hand. The world outside became a realm of bright white light, and then—darkness.

In Kimiki's stomach, the universe was safe. The blast shook him, and he felt the force against him, but inside, he knew he had succeeded.

He stood still, larger than ever, feeling the energy of the blast pass him by. He listened closely to the quietness around him. After a moment, the noise began to fade, replaced by the soft whispers of people inside him.

After what felt like eternity, he whispered, "We're safe." The universe had been protected inside him. He smiled, knowing his quick thinking and powers had saved everyone in the city of Luminous, even if it had seemed a little strange at first. The adventure had taken a wild turn, but together, they had faced the impossible.
