Spent 300 Adventure Coins and Successfully Obtained... the Thousand Sunny!

Mu Li was curious to see how the ship he purchased would appear.

Would it materialize out of thin air, like the powers of an awakened Devil Fruit?

The answer came quickly.

"It's a ship!" Koby was the first to notice something unusual on the water.

Mu Li and Nami turned to look.

About a few hundred meters away, a pirate ship bearing a Straw Hat pirate flag was steadily sailing toward them.

A straw hat?

Nami looked at the ship, then at the straw hat on Mu Li's head.

"Is that your ship?"

"No, it's our ship."

"I haven't officially agreed yet—not until I confirm your grandpa's a vice admiral," Nami retorted, rolling her eyes.

Grandpa, you're the best. Even from thousands of miles away, you helped me recruit my first crew member, Mu Li thought, chuckling softly.

Turning to Koby, he ordered, "Carry that fat woman aboard."

"Yes… Captain Luffy."

Koby looked like he was on the verge of tears.

Out of the wolf's den and into the tiger's lair.

But with his scrawny frame, Koby clearly couldn't lift Alvida's hefty body.

In the end, who carried her aboard?

Did you think it was Mu Li?

Not a chance.

In the end, it was Nami and Koby who had to team up to hoist Alvida onto the Sunny.

"You're really good at making people work for you...!!"

Exhausted and drenched in sweat, Nami stormed into the Sunny's living room, only to find Mu Li lying comfortably on a sofa, drink in hand.

"Thanks for your hard work," Mu Li said with a glance, lifting his eyelids. "There's a bathroom onboard. That room is yours."

Feeling sticky and uncomfortable, Nami didn't bother arguing. She quickly found the room with the bathroom, locked the door, and let out a long sigh.

"This guy doesn't seem like a pirate…"

As she stepped into the shower, her mind continued to churn with thoughts.

She'd been a thief since she was a child and had encountered all sorts of pirates.

But Mu Li felt… different.

Most pirates were ruthless and savage, but he didn't fit that mold at all.

"If what he says is true, I could just report the situation with my village to the Navy Headquarters. Surely they'd handle it! No matter how strong Arlong

is, he couldn't possibly match a vice admiral!"

With her limited experience, Nami believed that only someone as powerful as a vice admiral could deal with the Fishman crew.

"If this works out, it'll be a relief…"

In the Sunny's Living Room

Mu Li opened the Adventure Shop once more.

"I've got 300 coins left—better to spend them than let them sit around."

Scanning today's items, he settled on two purchases.

[Haki Fruit]: Consuming this grants the user the ability to awaken a random Haki. If Haki is already awakened, it increases proficiency. Price: 200 Adventure Coins.

[Life Fruit]: Consuming this grants the user an additional year of life. Price: 100 Adventure Coins.

He spent every last coin!

With a flash of light, two small fruits materialized in Mu Li's hands.

The fruits were small, with no spiral patterns—just different colors. The Life Fruit was red, while the Haki Fruit was black.

For reference, the Awakening Fruit he had eaten earlier was white.

Without hesitation, Mu Li devoured the black Haki Fruit.

The next moment, his Haki awakened—Observation Haki (Kenbunshoku).

Observation Haki is the power of "hearing."

It sharpens the senses, allowing the user to perceive the presence and emotions of living beings nearby and predict danger to evade it.

Mu Li quieted his mind and immediately picked up the sound of Nami showering and even her muttered complaints about him...

He also heard Koby on the deck scrubbing the floor with a rag.

Don't get the wrong idea.

It wasn't that Mu Li made Koby do chores. The kid volunteered, likely thinking that showing his usefulness might save his life.

Mu Li decided to let him be.

Once we reach the Navy base, I'll send him off.

"Observation Haki's pretty decent. If I master it, I might even be able to foresee the future."

With that, he turned it off. He didn't want to keep listening—especially since Nami's shower sounds could lead his thoughts astray.

Holding the red Life Fruit in his hand, Mu Li deactivated his Nika form.

As soon as he did, a wave of exhaustion hit him.

"I knew it… Phew, good thing I prepared for this."

He quickly ate the Life Fruit. The consumed life force replenished instantly, leaving him feeling much better—stronger, even.

Half an Hour Later

Nami emerged from her room, drying her damp hair with a towel, and stepped into the living room.

"Captain Luffy..."

"No need to be so formal. Just call me Luffy, Captain, or Mu Li—it's up to you," Mu Li replied with a wave of his hand.

"Mu… Li?"

Nami paused, confused.

She understood the first two names, but what was the last one about?

"By the way, your hair's different…"

"Curious?"

Nami rolled her eyes but didn't dwell on it. Instead, she sat down and pulled out a map, pointing to a specific coordinate.

"Luffy, if we're going to the nearest Navy base, it's here—Marine Branch 153."

"Branch 153?"

Mu Li frowned slightly.

Sounds familiar.

"What's wrong?" Nami asked, noticing his reaction.

He better not back out now. Don't give people hope just to take it away!

Mu Li easily picked up on her worry and couldn't help but chuckle.

"Just that it rings a bell."

"That branch is quite famous," Nami said with relief. "The base commander is a Marine captain named Morgan."

Ah, so it's that place.

Mu Li smirked internally.

What a coincidence. That's where the wild swordsman Zoro is.

To be honest, Mu Li wasn't keen on having male crewmates.

But considering future battles, he'd need a solid fighter. Male combatants were a must.

"Maybe I should just build a big fleet and buy more ships," he mused.

Recruiting Nami had earned him 500 coins.

Surely Zoro's talent wouldn't be any less valuable than hers.

Once Zoro joined, he'd just buy another ship.

The Straw Hat Grand Fleet, with Zoro as the captain of the first division.

Join the crew and get a free ship!

"Alright, let's head to Branch 153," Mu Li finally agreed.

Nami looked delighted.

His confident demeanor made him seem trustworthy—not like a liar at all.

"At our current speed, we'll arrive around noon tomorrow," she said happily.

"Got it. Now, go make some food. I'm starving."

Nami: "..."

He's really good at ordering people around!

Grumbling under her breath, she stomped off to cook.

The Next Day

[You have sailed in the East Blue for one day and earned 10 Adventure Coins.]

Too little!

[You have landed on a new island, Shells Town, and earned 100 Adventure Coins.]

Not bad!

By noon, the Thousand Sunny docked at the port of Shells Town.
