[INT. MEETING ROOM – DAY]
The employees are gathered to discuss the next steps of an important project. Marc tries to dominate the conversation, casting meaningful glances in Julien's direction.
MARC
I think we should assign this task to someone with more experience. (Looking at Julien) Even though some people here seem to get everything too easily.
A murmur ripples through the room. Julien keeps his head down, visibly uncomfortable.
Thomas, seated at the head of the table, calmly observes the scene before intervening with authority.
THOMAS
Marc, I believe you're forgetting something important. Results are what matter, not personal insinuations. Julien has proven time and again that he's more than capable.
A silence falls over the room. Marc, caught off guard, tries to respond.
MARC
I'm just pointing out that—
THOMAS (cutting him off)
Enough. If you have professional concerns, I invite you to discuss them with me in private. But indirect attacks have no place here.
Marc looks sullen, realizing he's been put in his place. The other employees exchange glances, some impressed, others uneasy.
After the meeting, Julien briefly meets Thomas's gaze. A flicker of gratitude passes between them, though no words are exchanged.

[INT. ELEVATOR – LATER]
Julien and Thomas find themselves alone in the elevator. Julien, still nervous, finally breaks the silence.
JULIEN
Thank you. For earlier.
THOMAS
I was just doing what was right.
JULIEN (softly)
But it won't stop people from talking.
Thomas turns to him, his expression softening.
THOMAS
Let them talk. What matters is what we know to be true.
A moment of silence falls. Julien smiles faintly, slightly reassured.
---
[INT. HALLWAY – A FEW WEEKS LATER]
The tension gradually eases, but Thomas makes an important decision. He calls Marc into his office for a frank discussion.
THOMAS
Marc, your insinuations haven't gone unnoticed. Let me be clear: if you continue to sow doubt or create a toxic environment, action will be taken.
Marc tries to defend himself, but Thomas remains firm.
THOMAS
I'm here to lead, not to play games. Julien, like everyone else, deserves to be judged on his work—nothing else. Is that clear?
Marc leaves the office, visibly chastened, and the workplace atmosphere begins to improve.

[INT. JULIEN'S APARTMENT – EVENING]
To celebrate a professional victory , Thomas and Julien meet outside of work. A quiet dinner at home, far from prying eyes.
JULIEN (smiling, holding a glass)
You know, I thought we'd never make it.
THOMAS
Me too. But sometimes, patience pays off.
They share a moment of closeness, the atmosphere light, marking a turning point in their relationship...
