George begins to hallucinate.
George has barely slept for the past 4 days. Because he tries to avoid Sara in the dream by staying awake.
But she has also begun to haunt him in his waking hours. It started with imagining with the rubber boot that fell over.
And since then it has become more and more creepy with time.
He has been inventive with staying awake methods. He started by wearing a rubber band around his wrist. Then he pulled it and released it when he was about to fall asleep. It worked at first because it hurt a little when he did it.
But then he got used to it so that it is no longer useful. Now he tries to drink instant coffee and touch his arm with a very hot teaspoon straight from a freshly brewed mug of coffee.
And it works better than elastic, but for how long?
George fears that he too will soon get used to the…
After the third mug of coffee, he goes into the kitchen to make the fourth mug of coffee.
Then he turns on the kettle. And just before he grabbed the cupboard handle where the coffee is, the cupboard door starts to shake and open and close quickly, and the lid doesn't open all the way when it opens, it doesn't open more than approx. Five centimeters at a time.
The worst thing is that when the lid is closed, a bit of dark liquid splashes at the bottom of the cabinet door in between where the cabinet and the cabinet lid separate. It splashes just like if you hit a tiny little puddle with the palm of your hand, but vertically instead, so that it splashes a little with dark liquid, and stains the kitchen table...
He stares at it for a while trying to figure out what's going on and it sounds like two grown men are wrestling at the inside of the small closet. Then he thinks
'how can that even be possible? There can't be two grown men and wrestling at the inside of the small closet.
A wise scientist would probably say that
: It is not mathematically possible...!
then suddenly the cupboard door stops.
And then he hears a woman screaming into the small closet and then shouting:
: I do not rest in peace, because of your weakness!!!
Then he gets even more scared. Because he knows that voice and it's Sara's voice from the nightmare... Then he reaches out his shaking hand to open the cupboard.
And when he was about to open the lid, and then the lid suddenly opened, very strongly, so strongly that he gets a blow in the hand so that it hurts.
You'd think someone was kicking the cupboard door from the inside.
then he sees Sara's half rotten and severed head in the cupboard and she whispers
: Report him...! Please!
Then she exhales one last time, moaning slowly at the same time
: Aaaahh!
And afterwards she moves the pupils upwards so that the eyes become white...
You could see her last breath, just like you see an exhalation when you are outdoors, in a cold winter atmosphere...
Then he rubs his eyes with his clenched hands for a while. And then he becomes himself again and her severed head becomes invisible and disappears and turns into a regular coffee again...
George wishes he could contact Jacob. But how? He doesn't live in that house anymore. And has not said where he lives now.
If he could contact his cousin Jacob, then George asks him to do the right thing and that he will be kind and give Sara to the authorities. So she can be buried in a cemetery so she can rest in peace.
George also intends to tell Jacob. That maybe he won't end up in prison if he explains to the police that she died by accident and tell them what happened.
Maybe the police will understand what happened...
But how does he find his cousin Jacob?
And if he is to look for him, and where should he start looking?
George feels let down. It's almost like a deja-vu experience...
He remembers once, as a child, that his mother didn't always have a desire to look after George.
She would rather have fun with her boyfriends and the men were more important to her than raising George.
He remembers clearly and distinctly that once George's mother took him to a stranger's house, with unknown people. Which George has never met before.
And then she said
: You just have to stay here for five minutes! I'll be back in a minute!
And George could sense that his mother was lying and he knew that she has to travel away from him again, together with her new boyfriend whom she barely knows.
Then George panicked and grabbed hold of one of his mother's legs. With both arms and legs. Maybe mostly to give her one last hug before she left.
Then he began to cry and said
: Please don't leave me! I'll be good! I'll stop making some mistakes, I promise! Be nice and don't travel away! I'll turn into a normal boy, I promise...!
She went away anyway, leaving her child.
It took two adults to separate him from her leg.
He was so hurt and sad. His cries could be heard from far away.
And he cried until he lost his voice from hoarseness.
When a child loves its mother very much.
The child can sense that they are about to separate from each other.
So strong is the child's love for his mother.
In George's case, being abandoned and neglected is…
Although George was unloved. Of course he loved his mother very much.
All children do, at the beginning of their lives. No matter how mean the mother is.
One's Mother's care can be vital for the child...
And George's selfish mother brought him to an unknown territory and unpredictable world. Where he cannot defend himself. And people get a golden ticket to be extra mean to poor defenseless George.
And when a child is unloved and unprotected and is completely alone in an unknown world, you can do almost anything to the child...
And how do you treat a child who cannot go anywhere and asks adults for help and is all alone in the world?
Do the math...
