Chereads / Father & Daughter Vol. 1 / Chapter 10 - A flame in doubt

Chapter 10 - A flame in doubt

Little by little Octavia was already understanding her own rhythm, and so she used that night to explore her tastes and really know how to be a woman.

She wanted to be the perfect woman for her father –and due to Stolas' constant adventures with Blitzo, which were the ones that caused the change in life they now had, she took for granted that the way she could do it was the same that imp did. To her, this made sense.

And so, for a long time she dominated him, mounted him and squeezed every drop of sweat that came out of him until they ended up in a deep sleep one on top of the other. Anyone who was unaware of the nature of these two demons would believe that they were just any couple who, out of sheer pleasure, chose to make the living room their play area. And not of a father and daughter sinking in sacrilege.

The next morning Stolas was the first to wake up. He felt overwhelmed as if he was suffering from a hangover –which confused him since he hadn't had any alcohol that night. He knew that the night before he hung out with his daughter watching a movie; he even he remembers the arduous sexual passion that continued after, but he believed it a dream, he wished it was a dream. –It was when he opened his eyes completely and saw himself lying down; Naked, and with his daughter on him just as exposed, he gave a gasp that petrified him.

Octavia, who was still sleepy from all the energy she expended, simply settled on him like a cat looking for the most comfortable position to sleep in.

However, Stolas was having a hard time, his heart rate was racing intensely and he was trying to understand what had happened.

A part of him was furious, what took control of him had done it again. Was the trauma and pain so strong that he only found catharsis in having affairs with his daughter? Was he really that kind of monster? That he should abuse the innocence of his little girl to satisfy his needs. He hated to see the monster he became.

Stolas wanted to cry inside and out; he didn't know how he should take responsibility for what he was doing. And he didn't want anyone to know what he had done. He loved her with all of her being, he didn't want to lose her, her little Octavia was the last thing he had left in this life that brought him genuine happiness. Regardless of even his relationship with Blitzo, he could be left with nothing at all and still carry on as long as Octavia was by his side.

While patting her head, she unconsciously responded with a gentle smile; seeing it made him feel a warm sensation in his heart. But he knew they couldn't be together like this –even if he wanted to.

If he wanted it that way? That thought haunted him non-stop –while, deep down inside, his heart began to doubt, and that was what hurt him the most.

He knew that the best he could do was to keep this a secret until he could work it out properly. And regarding his daughter –he had to face her and tell her the truth.

After monologuing with himself, he waited for her to wake up.

Octavia; unlike her father, she woke up with a wide smile, her gaze obscured by Stolas' plumage and her masculine scent, made her want to sleep again and keep that feeling forever. Slowly looking up she gave his dad a small kiss on his beak that was not reciprocated, and then she saw the concerned face of her father who was staring into her eyes. This piercing look of pain immediately worried Octavia, and she wiped the smile from her face.

—What is wrong Dad? —Octavia asked in a trembling voice—.

—Via, I know what's going on and–

—Y-you know? What do you know? —Octavia interrupted, and her eyes filled with panic—.

Stolas reacted with a puzzled look to his daughter's frantic response.

—Eh yeah. It is clear that since my problems with your mother began, and even more so when my relationship with Blitz declined, I have felt emotionally frustrated and unfortunately it seems that I end up taking this tension out on you. I hope you can forgive me. Please don't think this is the real me, I will do whatever it takes to make you forgive me. —Stolas sounded truly regretful—.

Octavia wanted to put on a relieved face, but the panic wouldn't let up on her, and she immediately broke out in a panicky sweat.

—Oh, well... I... you... this... There's nothing to forgive, I'm happy that my first experiences were with someone who cares so much about me and stuff... Hehe... Heh… —Octavia tried to formulate into a coherent sentence—.

She couldn't handle the anxiety, and she had nothing to say that wouldn't immediately give her away. If she said that she was fine and that she liked having sex with him, Stolas would immediately think that he corrupted her and feel bad; she also didn't want to make him feel guilty and lose any opportunity to continue looking to formalize something with him. She was between a rock and a hard place –she loses now or loses later.

—But it's wrong! I am your father Octavia, and you are not an adult yet. I double your age!

—B…but I don't want you to leave me, I don't want to lose you.

—You'll never lose me Via, ever. But we must keep our distance until I recover from whatever is happening to me. I don't want to lose you and I don't want to hurt you either.

—You're not hurting me, on the contrary; let's be together forever. Fuck mom. —Octavia snuggled into Stolas—. Fuck everyone.

—My little starfire... —Stolas hugged Octavia tightly as he said this—.

Finally, they both got up some time later and went to their respective rooms.

Stolas got ready, since, that afternoon; as he and Blitz had agreed a long time ago, they would meet to return the Grimoire and have his well-deserved night of passion, even though at this moment he wasn't sure he wanted sex at all.

Octavia for her part dressed as usual to go out.

Still somewhat afraid of believing that her father had discovered her, she hid what was left of the balm under her bed as she recalled her conversation with the woman in the store.

«The consequences if that person does not love you could be disastrous. [...], the other person is going to question how or why they did it. And if that person didn't see himself having sex with you, he would obviously assume you did something with him. [...]»

She felt cornered. Was it too early to use it again? Should she let things settle down before drugging him again?

She had already spilled the truth with Loona, maybe she could ask her for advice. And so, she took her cell phone and tried to reach her.

 —Loon, will you be busy?

 — ???

—Do you want to go to Hellbucks for something?

 —I guess... here in pride?

—Yes, wherever is fine, see you at 3:00.

 ***

Stolas on his end did a similar thing with Blitzo.

 —Ohhhh Blitzy~

 — I know Stolas, I know.

 — Owwww... don't get like that Blitzy☹ Besides, this time I just want the book. You're free to leave later, I'll return it to you when I'm done with my work.

 —Everything's fine?

 — All good my dear Blitzy, nothing that can worry my little imp. Is 3:00 okay?

 —If you say so...

«Now what the fuck happened? » Blitzo and Loona wondered at the end of their respective conversations.

The rest of the morning passed without incident. Stolas and Octavia went about their morning chores until their appointment time approached.

And if it were necessary to mention, not a word was exchanged between them during that time.

Stolas hoped that Octavia would take the day to herself and clear her mind, while he tried to distract his to erase those thoughts of lust that he thought he had.

On the other hand, Octavia wanted to take the day to plan a new strategy that would help her make her father fall in love with her, and she hoped that Stolas would use this time to change his mind and by some demonic miracle would come to her with open arms saying that he loved her.

As 3:00 grew near, Octavia grabbed her beanie and headed to pride, where she would meet Loona – at Hellbucks; Imp City

 —Honestly, I didn't think you'd come, Loon.

—Don't play dumb Octavia, you know why I came. Are you going to pretend that yesterday never happened?

—I only told you that because you wanted to rat me out to YOUR dad, and that would have gotten ME in trouble, because he would have told mine and then HE would have asked me what I was doing in lust. No one was supposed to know until my plan worked.

—Oh yes, because it's super normal that overnight you find out that your friend is going out with her dad. Besides, I wasn't going to rat you out – we're friends. Remember? I trust you; you just had me worried. Damn I would have believed any lie. But... Stolas?

Octavia was astonished from what she was listening to. Little by little her gaze lowered from her as she tried to hide her face in her beanie, covered in embarrassment to the point of having her chin on the edge of the table they were sitting on.

—I…I'm sorry Via, I really didn't think it was something of that calibre!

—Either way, last night we had sex again and this morning he said he would keep his distance so he «wouldn't hurt me. » It's not supposed to happen like this. He should have fallen in love with me.

—Who the hell falls in love with sex?! —Loona yelled, she didn't know if she was angry or laughing at what she heard—.

—It worked for Blitzo! —Octavia replied annoyed—.

—Look, neither you nor I know how the affair between those two began. But that doesn't mean that just because Blitz fucked your father now you should do it, besides Blitz doesn't love him. Also, he does it so your father lends us the Grimoire, remember? —Loona was saying as she tried with all her might to keep her composure—. By the way, how did you convince him to have sex with you in the first place?

—You know the truth so I guess I can talk it out. In lust I bought a balm that drugs whoever smells it and induces a state of excitement. —Octavia's voice cracked a little when saying these words, listening to Loona in that way caused a lump in her throat and she felt as if she were a criminal who confessed to her crimes—.

—Basically, remote Viagra? But that means he's aware, meaning ultimately there's something in him that allows that shit to work. Fuck, everyone here is so gross. Ok, let me help you. N.…not to fuck your father, again –I must clarify.

 ***

While Loona and Octavia chatted; in the Goetia mansion, Stolas received Blitzo.

—Blitzy! —Stolas exclaimed with a big smile—.

—Hey hey Stolas, here's the book. —He replied nonchalantly as he held out his hand, handing over the Grimoire—. So, can I go now?

—Yes, that's all I needed from you today.

—Sure? Don't you want me to fuck your brains out? —Blitzo said in a tone similar to that of a boy asking his girlfriend to dance—. Are you okay?

—You don't need to know anything else, Blitz.

—Ok birdbrain, now you really have my curiosity – you've never missed an opportunity to get your way with me.

—As tempting as you want to sound my little imp, it's not going to work.

 —Come on, tell daddy.

—If you want to see this book again, you're going to go, do you understand Blitzo?

—OK BYE! —Blitzo yelled as he got into his truck and, putting his foot all the way down, drove away—.

With a lump in his throat, Stolas returned to the palace, embracing the book. His heart was so confused and in pieces that he couldn't feel sadness or guilt for having treated Blitzo like this, he simply hoped that in this way he could purify his mind and order his ideas.

—Perhaps another day, my dear friend... —He said to himself—.

Back with Loona and Octavia, Loona's phone rings, and it's Blitzo dialling.

 —What do you want Blitz?

—Hey Loonie, I'm on my way back home, are you at pride? I can go pick you up.

—I'm busy, idiot. I'll go home later.

 Loona hung up the call.

—Looks like you traumatized your father so much that he didn't want to fuck Blitz anymore.

—Ha ha ha. Is that what you meant by helping? —Octavia says sarcastically—.

—Octavia, love doesn't work like that. If you keep doing this, you're only going to end up alone. Is that what you want? It's the same with these two.

—And what do you recommend I do?

—Besides therapy? Ugh... I don't feel comfortable giving advice on how to pick up your father.

 —You wouldn't understand...

—No and I don't want to, but well here we are, right? Anyway, that thing you bought... Did it come with instructions? After certain uses he is convinced that he loves you?

—No, it's just that, something to whet the sexual appetite and suppress whatever it is that might prevent it. Or at least that's how I understand it.

—And at least you used a condom?

 —Nope.

Loona from the surprise and abruptly direct response couldn't help but choke on her drink. Coughing as she recovered.

—Motherfucker. So, if you don't make him fall in love, you're going to anchor him with a baby? —Loona was trying to recover from almost certain death—.

—I hadn't thought of it that way.

—Don't even think about it, Octavia.

 —So what?

—Fuck, start thinking about the things you do, and stop drugging your father so you can fuck him. But I'm sure you won't listen to me.

Octavia and Loona continued arguing for a long time without getting anywhere. Loona was trying to understand Octavia's motives and how she could possibly feel this way about her father –although well, at the end of the day it's hell and nothing is really « Forbidden » in the world of sin.

On the other hand, Octavia while talking about her father felt great joy. She had already gotten so close about her affair that she felt like going into detail about everything she had done with him.

At the end of the day Octavia somehow got what she wanted, now she knew that if she didn't make him fall in love in one way, she could in other ways. And so, she managed to regain the motivation to keep trying.

However, she also believed that Loona was right about the drug, if she really wanted her father's love then he should fall in love naturally and sincerely. She would therefore save the balm for truly worthwhile occasions.

While all this was happening, Stolas, who already had the grimoire in his hands, got to work.

Since the grimoire allowed him to see possible futures, he couldn't contain his curiosity regarding his own future; something that normally was not recommended because knowing your own future brings with it its emotional consequences; Especially if you don't like the answer.

For a while he searched and searched. He saw himself with Octavia, but he had no clear information regarding how the relationship between the two seemed to survive, if it was the paternal love or that corrupt feeling. Perhaps the answer was clear, but he remained ambiguous to avoid accepting the reality of what was to come. He was giving up, maybe he did love his daughter that way?

Curiously, when he focused on that idea, he began to feel happier and more relaxed again, as if a weight had been lifted from him, but his conscience continued to weigh on him infinitely.

He continued his work, striving not to continue wasting time on a ghost hunt that would lead him nowhere. With all his strength, he gave his best to finish quickly and be able to return to his most personal tasks.

Meanwhile, after Loona's harsh reprimand, Octavia continued with a more casual chat, digressing on what they had done the last few days and what they had seen or heard, telling each other the gossip of the week.

In a way, they both needed to give themselves some real distraction time. Being so constantly on the edge of their emotions had brought them consequences they weren't ready to face.

—I tell you Via, pride has been saturated lately with human souls. From what I managed to hear from them is that in recent years all humans are fighting to see who has the right opinion and show others how stupid they are on the moral whateverthefuck. Violence is also bursting at the seams; well, more than usual.

 —Surely, they're making another war.

—Or those who couldn't defend their ideas ended up killing the other person, or themselves. I don't understand the rush to get here, it's not exactly a place that meets your standards. —Octavia replied as she turned to face the streets of Imp City, coincidentally allowing her to watch an imp pull a stroller from a mother's hands and run away only to end up being crushed by a speeding vehicle—.

—Meh… you grow to like it, I guess. —Loona replied—. And what will you do tonight?

—Probably posting some photos from today on Sinstagram or going to see some taxidermy; you can come if you want.

—As long as I don't have to put up with Blitz at home; fuck yhea.

—Is he just as annoying as my dad? —Octavia laughed mockingly—.

—Or worse... But didn't you say you loved him? —I didn't think "annoying" was part of his resume for you to love him—.

—I only hate it when he treats me like a baby. Any other time it's usually cute.

They both finished their drinks and continued their chat as they headed to their next destination.

 ***

Back with Stolas –who had already finished using the grimoire, began to take care of his greenhouse as usual, watering or feeding the plants while he told them some story or sang a song.

He also got to gossip with them, even though he was the only one who really talked. He told them about what had happened with Octavia, with Blitzo, what he saw in his premonitions when working with the Grimoire. And he used the opportunity to recapitulate the things he had done and how he did them, as a self-taught method to know himself and what he wanted to do.

It was a way for him to monologue without feeling like an idiot talking to himself, and since no one went there unless he gave the order, it was the perfect place to give himself absolute privacy.

And so, the rest of the day passed without further ado. On the night Octavia came home, she and Stolas hugged each other, said goodnight, and went to bed.
