Chapter 1 - Fate's Cruel Ordeal

Surya, I never expected this from you. Harendra Singh, the head of the Chauhan family and Surya's father, scolded him, "Why are you standing there with your head down? Tell me the truth—how did you dare to do such a thing? First, you commit such a grave sin, and then you stand there looking ashamed. Didn't you realize how severe the punishment could be for your actions? Forget the punishment—did you even think about how much disgrace this could bring to the Chauhan family? Not could—*has* brought disgrace. God knows what sins we committed to have a wretched boy like you in our family. But you don't care about any of this because, for you, it doesn't matter if the family is disgraced or praised. All you know is how to eat and sleep. You're good for nothing. Now, look at you, standing there with your head down. Say something, or will you just keep standing there like a burden on our chest? It's a wonder you didn't die at birth—at least we would have had the solace that you were gone. But now, as you've grown up, you're committing such vile acts that it's beyond imagination."

Surya had been listening to such accusations since childhood. Whether he was at fault or not, the family always ignored him. Even though he was the son of the family head, he was treated worse than the servants. Whenever there was a family function, he was locked in the storage room so that no one would know about his existence. Many times, attempts were made on his life, orchestrated by his grandfather, uncles, aunts, and even his own parents. This situation had persisted since his birth. His father had many other wives, and none of their children were treated like Surya. Even his own mother, Sarla, who had other children, treated them well, but Surya was an exception.

The root of this disdain lay in the past. When Sarla was pregnant with Surya, she was fighting demonic beasts on a planet called Mistry. Exhausted from the battle, she was caught off guard by a lethal attack from a demonic overlord. The attack was deflected onto her unborn child, leaving Surya permanently disabled even before birth, unable to evolve or cultivate. When Sarla learned of this, she decided to abort the child. However, by the 26th century, a law prohibited abortion unless in extreme circumstances, even for someone as influential as the wife of the chairman of the Deep Space Warfare Organization (DSWFO). Consequently, Sarla couldn't abort Surya but resolved never to form an emotional bond with him, knowing he would never evolve or amount to anything in life.

Sarla, being a proud and self-centered woman, couldn't bear the thought of people mocking her because of Surya. From the moment Surya was born, she distanced herself from him. Immediately after his birth, she separated herself from him, and from that day forward, Surya was treated worse than a servant in the house. He was excluded from all family matters and kept away from the main parts of the house.

When Surya returned home from school that day, he found out that one of the household maids had falsely accused him of rape. The maid was crying loudly, claiming that the young master had tried to misbehave with her and ruined her life. Although everyone knew she was lying, the family still pretended as if a great crime had been committed. Soon after, the elders of the house, led by the family head, called for a meeting in the family hall, using this incident as an excuse to get rid of Surya.

The elders proposed this idea to the family head, who readily agreed since he didn't particularly like Surya either. Surya held no value to the family because he couldn't evolve. The family head, much like his wife Sarla, had always wanted Surya dead before birth but couldn't due to government regulations. After his birth, he never showed Surya any affection. While the other children played with their father, Surya could only watch from afar. He tried hard to earn his parents' love, but no matter how much he tried, he always failed. Whenever he attempted anything, his parents would beat him and leave his wounds untreated, causing him prolonged suffering.

As the meeting progressed, Harendra Singh began scolding Surya, not thinking about what he was saying. His only goal was to expel Surya from the Chauhan family. The Chauhan family, though ranked third in Delhi, wasn't powerful enough to influence the government on major issues. Still, they held significant influence in their local area. The most powerful member was an ancestor at the peak of Sage level stage 3, while Surya's father was at Saint level stage 8, sub-stage 2.

Surya realized that he was going to be thrown out of the house but still decided to make one last attempt. He looked at his mother and asked, "Mother, you've always rejected me, but I ask you one last time—do you believe I tried to harm that maid?" Upon hearing Surya call her "Mother," Sarla was enraged. She glared at him and said, "How dare you call me 'Mother'? I am not your mother. The truth is, I wanted to kill you before you were born, but I couldn't because of those damned government rules. Even though I couldn't kill you, I never accepted you as my son. And yes, you didn't just try to harm that maid—you raped her. Remember, the punishment you're receiving is well-deserved. We all suspected you would do something like this, which is why we wanted to kill you before you were born. We knew you would bring disgrace to us because you couldn't evolve. And now, when we ignored you, you decided to violate one of our maids."

She continued, "Now tell us, what punishment should you receive? Because you will be punished, no matter what." Sarla then looked at the family members and said, "I believe we should expel this wretched, useless boy from our family. As long as he stays, he will continue to bring us shame. We can't tolerate him anymore; he must be expelled immediately."

Everyone in the meeting, regardless of who they were, agreed with Sarla. They began discussing among themselves, saying, "The first mistress is right. We should expel this useless boy from our family. He's been a disgrace since childhood, and we can't endure him any longer." When Harendra heard everyone's opinions, he asked the elders, "What do you think? Should we expel this wretched person from our family?"

Hearing this, the elders looked at each other and then said in unison, "Family head, we never considered this boy a member of the Chauhan family. Whether you expel him or not makes no difference to us. We decided to disown him the moment he was born. Now that he's committed such a heinous act, he deserves punishment, and we should expel him. This is the right decision for all of us, as maintaining any relationship with such a person would be harmful. We can't tolerate him any longer."

Hearing this, Harendra, with an expression of anger, harshly said to Surya, "You've heard the decision of all the family members. You are hereby expelled from this house, effective immediately. And you won't receive a single penny from the Chauhan family's wealth because you are not worthy of it."

Surya, realizing his fate was sealed, looked at the assembly with anger and said, "I know this was all your conspiracy, but it doesn't matter to me because you never accepted me as your own. What was my fault? Did I ask to be born while my mother fought with demonic beasts? She cared more about her evolution than her unborn child's safety. You all know I am not to blame for any of this, but your pride in this family blinded you to the point that you wanted to kill me since birth. Now that you're expelling me, I'll leave. But remember, if I survive and somehow manage to evolve, the first thing I'll do is come back and kill all of you."

With that, Surya walked out of the hall and left the Chauhan family's mansion.

Surya had wandered far from the Chauhan family's mansion and was now sitting in a garden, contemplating his next steps. He wasn't angry at the maid because he understood that if his own family had tried to kill him and throw him out numerous times, why wouldn't a stranger try to trap him? He knew that his family was behind this too. Otherwise, no maid would have the courage to falsely accuse the young master of the house.

Surya was absolutely right. The maid had been coerced by Sarla Chauhan and her husband, Harendra Singh Chauhan, who had threatened her, saying that if she didn't do as they instructed, her life and her family's lives would be in danger. Reluctantly, the maid had decided to comply because she was more concerned about her family's safety than Surya's well-being. Besides, she had witnessed firsthand how poorly the Chauhan family treated Surya, constantly insulting and mistreating him. She thought, why put her own family at risk when the family itself didn't want to keep its own heir? Moreover, she believed that sooner or later, the family would find some excuse to throw Surya out. So, why not gain favor with the family head and his wife? And she did just that.

Her actions bore fruit, as her salary was immediately increased after she made the serious accusations against Surya. Deep down, she felt grateful to Surya because, thanks to him, she had gained significant benefits. However, a pang of guilt also gnawed at her heart for falsely accusing an innocent boy.

As Surya pondered all this, he suddenly heard a voice behind him: "Are you going to sit here all day, or have you thought of doing something else?"
