Synopsis
In a world where nearly everyone is born with a guin, extraordinary power that grants unique abilities, only a select few are chosen to become a 'hero'. Through intense training and arduous challenges, these individuals are forged into protectors, standing as humanity's hope against all kind of evil. Takumi Kurata was born with a cruel and terrifying guin. His power allowed him to instantly kill any living being by pulling its neck from its head, a lethal ability that made even the most fearsome villains pale in comparison. The power could also be reversed, bringing the victim back to life if the body was properly reframed. Bullied for his dangerous guin, Takumi initially fought back, rising to dominance and establishing a reign of terror that made even his middle school peers cower in fear. Deep down, however, he struggled with his power, believing that the very thing that could protect the weak made him unworthy of being a hero. His dream of becoming a hero crumbled as he succumbed to a life of bitterness and despair. In a society where only some individuals can undergo the rigorous training to become a hero, Takumi’s path seemed lost. That is, until he met his idol, Mr. White—a hero who reminded him that power, in all its forms, can be wielded for both good and evil. Encouraged by Mr. White’s words, Takumi found new resolve, determined to use his terrifying guin for the greater good. This is the story of Takumi Kurata, a kind-hearted yet twisted boy, torn between his dark gift and his desire to protect others, as he strives to become a true hero in a world that fears him.

Chapter 1 - Guin - Dominion

In a world forever changed by the crash of a mysterious meteor, a catastrophic mutation began to spread through human bloodlines. This mutation unlocked incredible abilities in some individuals, but also gave rise to powerful villains with dangerous, destructive powers. These villains began terrorizing the world—robbing, killing, kidnapping, and wreaking havoc—leaving humanity powerless in the face of such overwhelming threats. Conventional weapons were useless against the extraordinary abilities of these foes.

However, hope emerged when a group of individuals with extraordinary powers, known as "Heroes," stepped forward to fight back against the villains. These Heroes used their abilities for the greater good, saving lives and restoring order. As their numbers grew, the government began to officially recruit and support Heroes, and together, they brought the crime rate down to an all-time low, ensuring the safety of the people.

As society adapted, a clear distinction was made between two groups: Villains, individuals with immense abilities but twisted, malicious intentions, and Heroes, those who wielded their powers for justice and the protection of humanity. These powers, known as "Guin," were unique and could only be acquired once in a lifetime. If a person failed to manifest a Guin at birth, they would remain Guinless for the rest of their life.

It was widely believed that only Villains possessed dangerous, merciless Guins capable of causing harm to society, while Heroes possessed pure and good Guins. This belief shaped the world's understanding of Guins, creating a society where the intentions of those with power were as crucial as the power itself.

In a Hospital room.

"You should give up on becoming a hero. No, seriously, you really should."

Takumi Kurata was told this by the doctor, and he froze, his eyes and mouth wide open in shock. The reality of being told to give up on becoming a hero hit him like a freight train, too much for him to comprehend.

"This Guin is just too dangerous, and, well... how should I put this... given the times and ethically speaking, becoming a hero is..."

The doctor trailed off, his tone dripping with regret. Kurata's mother, who had brought him to the hospital, wore an equally indescribable expression as she listened.

"So... it's not suitable for becoming a hero?"

When his mother echoed the sentiment, Takumi froze again. He had been so excited to find out what kind of guin he would have, only to be utterly stunned by the result.

"It's strong, sure, but... anyway, ma'am, you're a fourth-generation guin user, correct? Your guin is...?"

"I can control small objects, and my husband can use ultra speed."

"Ah, I see. So, it seems your guin has awakened as a strong manifestation of your side of the family... Takumi's guin, 'Dominion,' that is."

---

Ever since he was young, Takumi had been strangely skilled at eating fish. When a whole grilled fish was served, he could remove the bones so cleanly, separating the flesh and skeleton as if it were second nature. It was so unnaturally precise that it seemed eerie, prompting his mother to take him to the hospital for an examination.

'Dominion'

With this guin, Takumi could touch the head or neck of any vertebrate and extract its spinal cord, killing it instantly. He couldn't remove any other part of the body—only the spinal cord, for some inexplicable reason. This guin was far too dangerous.

Naturally, a guin that allowed one to mercilessly kill others by touching their heads or necks was terrifying, a power more fitting for a villain, not a hero. And yet, this was the guin that had manifested in Takumi, a guy who crazily aims to become a hero.

Ever since Takumi was a kid, he liked and admired heroes a lot, especially one in particular.... 'Mr.White'

He always wanted to become someone like Mr. White, a hero that helps everyone in danger.... But the fate's circasm pushed him to an edge where people saw him as a potential danger....

From that day onward, Takumi Kurata changed a lot.

"Haha... a villain-like guin, huh...? Hahaha... ahahaha..."

"Takumi..."

The shock of being saddled with the guin 'Dominion' hit him hard. He sat in front of his computer, watching videos he'd found online, and asked his mother:

"Mom, can I still become a super cool hero?"

"You shouldn't use that as your reference!!"

On the screen, an overly dramatic chinese ninja dressed in blue ripped out the spinal cords of his enemies in gory detail.

---

Time passed, and Takumi became a student at Yoshikawa Middle School.

"Heiei! P-please, stop, Kurata! I was wrong, okay!?"

"Who called my guin a 'villain's guin'? Say it again, teacher."

The classroom was painted red with blood. Of the 30 students in the class, 29 had lost their heads(the left one was only Takumi), their neck stumps spraying blood everywhere. The lone survivor, the homeroom teacher, was pinned against the wall, trembling as Takumi held a severed head in one hand.

"Teacher, I didn't ask to be born with such a guin. Mocking me for it and saying something like, 'With a guin like that, you'll never get into V.G Academy,'—is that really appropriate for a teacher to say?"

"I-I'm sorry! I was wrong, okay!? But still, Kurata, with behavior like this, you can't possibly be a her—"

Before he could finish, Takumi grabbed the teacher's head with his free hand.

"Ah! Ahh!?"

"Finish him!"

This was the 213th time this year that the teacher had heard this chilling declaration from Takumi. The sensation of his skin tearing, his neck muscles snapping, and the searing pain of his spinal cord being forcibly removed filled his final moments.

"Hii-iiii-ghyaaaahhh!!"

The teacher's spinal cord was extracted, killing him instantly.

"Everyone, reflect on your actions by tomorrow. If I feel like it, I'll reattach everything then... Oh, Ozawa, I'll put your head back on now since you'll be cleaning up."

Takumi casually tossed the teacher's head into a trash can, then picked up a severed head with long white hair. Carefully, he reattached it to a headless body. The wound closed seamlessly, and the white boy's eyes snapped open in rage.

"You bastard! You villain-in-training! You did it again, didn't you!?"

"Ozawa, cleanup's all yours. Just leave the heads in a corner, okay?"

"You little—! You think you can boss me around, Takumi?!"

Takumi's calm, narrow-eyed gaze silenced the blonde boy as he grabbed his head again.

"Wanna go for another round?"

"...."

"N-no, I'll do it. I'm the cleaning in charge today, just go and rest."

It was pure intimidation.

With the cleanup left to Ozawa Sakamoto, Takumi left the scene of carnage and headed home.

Takumi Kurata, a second-year student at Yoshikawa Middle School, dreamed of becoming a hero. But with his guin, he ruled his school through fear.
