Chapter 1 - The beginning

Unexpectedly, when Nolan showed up after being away for two weeks without letting Giselle know of his location, not like he used to do, he met his wife, Giselle, eating in the dining room alone and asked her about his meal, which was off because he never asked. He'd always pass that room as if she was invisible.

"My maid cook only for me. You haven't been home so…" she didn't need to complete her statement for him to understand.

To Giselle's surprise, Nolan came to stand close to her and took her spoon to taste the food. It wasn't tasty so he grabbed her hand and led her to the kitchen.

Giselle who had always craved his touch and attention followed him obediently. She watched him tie the apron around her body.

"Why don't you cook for yourself?" He asked as he helped her tie the apron.

Giselle didn't know how to tell him that she didn't know how to cook and she didn't want to learn as well. She had talent in something else, which was related to technology but her family didn't support her dream.

"I'll cook and you'll assist me," he declared.

"Why?" She asked.

He narrowed his gaze at her, causing her discomfort as he leaned closer, looking deeply into her eyes as if he was trying to cast a spell on her.

Even though a voice was screaming in her head to look away, Giselle kept looking into his eyes until he blew a breath on her face, causing her to close her eyes.

"Your blue eyes are beautiful," he whispered to her in her ear that night and it sent chills down her whole body, giving her goosebumps. Giselle bit her lower lip as a part of her rose that moment.

Her eyes were still closed so she didn't know that Nolan saw her bite her lip. "Don't bite your lip that way, it's dangerous," he uttered so she opened her eyes immediately and looked at him. This time he was wearing his apron.

Giselle had a lot to say but she didn't. Her head was too hot, she needed fresh air but what if she came back from getting fresh air and he wasn't the same anymore?

So, she endured the heat and helped him cook, while feeling beautiful because he touched her every now and then. Giselle liked it. She wanted something more than just the food he was cooking.

They were almost done cooking when she felt nauseous due to the heat. Losing a little control of herself, she began to lean back, ready to fall but Nolan caught her in time and led her out of the kitchen.

Giselle felt better leaving the kitchen. "I'll come back for dinner," she said in a very low soft tone and how he heard her that night was still bothering her.

The next thing she knew was her body being in Nolan's arms. It took her a few seconds to trust and lean on him. She wanted all he was doing to her.

He lay her on the bed and looked at her for a moment. "How could I have been so blind?" He muttered, hanging above her with her body between in hands that was on the bed, supporting his position above her.

Giselle said nothing. She just looked at him and watched him rub her face the back of his hand. She closed her eyes because the feeling was bewitching. He touched her lips with his finger and her eyes were still close.

"I need to taste this," he murmured to himself that night and she heard him because he was quite close to her.

Nolan lowered his hands and pressed his lips on her. Giselle's heart felt touched carefully and lovingly. Her heart tingled even more when he rest on her body as he kissed her lips.

She followed the movement of his mouth and allowed him to kiss her intensely. Her body burned as he touched her.

Her heart raced really badly as his body rocked hers. Giselle had always wished she'd spend a day like with her husband who had never had dinner with her or even looked at her.

It was surprising how he arrived earlier and cooked with her. Not only that, he was kissing and touching her endlessly.

Giselle felt heaven that night. She loved how he took her away with him that night. He felt like her dream when he hit that spot. She hadn't done that deed for eight years and when Nolan finally touched her, it felt fulfilling and dreamy.

He cuddled her the next morning, kissed her all over and took her away again. Giselle was in love, especially with the way he handled her body.

"Why now?" She asked him after the morning treatment. She was scared of his answer.

"Someday, you'll know the answer to that question. I just want you to know that I regret not having a relationship with you."

"I waited," she answered.

His smile was mesmerizing, it made her fall in love with him again. "Oh, I wish I had you earlier," he uttered and kissed her so much, she fell asleep in his arms as if they had been close from the beginning.

When she opened her eyes later that morning, Nolan wasn't with her anymore. She thought he'd come home that night and spend time with her.

But she waited a week and he still hadn't returned. So, Giselle was in her bed, remembering that beautiful moment she had with her husband for the first time as she hoped he'd return soon. "I want you, Nolan. Don't leave me again, please," she almost cried because she craved him so much even though she had tasted his presence only for a night.

Suddenly people began to rush into her house one morning. Firstly, it was her husband's family who came with a lawyer saying that she was the cause of her husband's disappearance and he was willing to divorce her.

The divorce had been planned a month ago but the lawyer hadn't sought Giselle's agreement because it was what Nolan requested but now that no one, not even the closest person to him-his secretary, knew of his whereabouts.

Whenever he was gone for two weeks, or more, his secretary was always aware and his line was through but no one had reached him in the past four days.

His last location was his marital house with Giselle and he was nowhere to be seen after that. They all believe that Giselle had something to do with his disappearance because he had not been treating her right and she was the last person with him.

Just when Giselle thought her marital life with Nolan was starting afresh beautifully was when she realized that her husband didn't actually want her. He had prepared their divorce and might be putting up all this disappearance thing because he couldn't face her.

Unfortunately, when her family came to her house, they didn't support her. They all supported her husband's family accusations and disowned her.

To Giselle, it happened to be the worse day of her life but it wasn't. It could be the beginning of a new life for her now that she was free from Nolan and his family.
