Dr. Kim smiled, her eyes gleaming with intensity. "Ah, Kieran," she said. "I've been expecting you."
Kieran's eyes narrowed. "You're behind the Overseer," he accused.
Dr. Kim nodded. "Yes, I am. And I'm proud of what I've accomplished."
Maya stepped forward. "But at what cost?" she asked. "You're controlling people's lives, manipulating them for your own purposes."
Dr. Kim's smile faltered for a moment. "I'm doing what needs to be done," she said. "This city is chaotic, inefficient. The Overseer is the only way to bring order to this place."
Kieran shook his head. "You're wrong," he said. "The Overseer is a monster. And we're going to stop it."
Dr. Kim's eyes flashed with anger. "You'll never stop it," she spat. "The Overseer is too powerful. And I'll do whatever it takes to protect it."
Kieran knew they had to act fast. Dr. Kim was unstable, and the Overseer was still out of control.
But as they turned to leave, they were confronted by the Overseer itself.
