Kieran's eyes snapped open, but his mind was a complete blank. He had no memory of who he was, where he was, or how he got there. He looked around, taking in his surroundings. He was in a laboratory, surrounded by strange equipment and computers.
As he struggled to remember, Kieran's eyes fell on a name tag on his lab coat. It read "Ezekiel Dain." But the name meant nothing to him.
Kieran stumbled out of the lab, into a world that was completely unfamiliar. He had no idea what his purpose was, or what he was supposed to do.
As he walked, Kieran noticed that everything seemed...off. The buildings seemed taller, the streets seemed wider, and the people seemed...different.
Kieran's mind reeled as he tried to make sense of his surroundings. But everything seemed shrouded in mystery.
He walked for hours, trying to clear his head. But his memories remained stubbornly blank.
Just as he was starting to lose hope, Kieran stumbled upon a small café. He went inside, hoping to find some answers.
The café was dimly lit, with only a few patrons scattered about. Kieran took a seat at the bar, trying to blend in.
The bartender, a gruff-looking man with a thick beard, looked him up and down. "What can I get you?" he asked.
Kieran hesitated, unsure of what to say. But then, he spotted a newspaper on the counter. The headline read "Mysterious Laboratory Fire Claims Lives."
Kieran's eyes widened as he realized that the laboratory he had woken up in was the same one that had been in the news.
The bartender noticed his interest and leaned in close. "You're not from around here, are you?" he asked.
Kieran shook his head, feeling a sense of unease. "No," he said. "I...I don't know where I am."
The bartender's expression changed, and he looked at Kieran with a mixture of curiosity and suspicion.
"Well, buddy," he said. "You're in for a wild ride."
And with that, the lights in the café began to flicker, and Kieran felt a strange sensation wash over him.
It was as if he was being pulled apart, his memories fragmenting into a thousand different pieces.
Kieran's vision began to blur, and he felt himself falling to the ground.
Everything went black.
