Damien removed the ancient cloth wrapped around the sword, revealing a long, one-sided sword with a large blade.
" A zhamandao?" Damien remembered the name of this sword. Immediately he touched it, fragmented images appeared in his head, some of them were of a chaotic battlefield, but Damien could not make anything out.
The fragmented images were the memories of the sword. It sounds weird, right?
How can a non-living thing have memories? However, certain items influenced by magic could develop their consciousness.
For example, Damien's Flowing Metal Armor was not classified as a living thing, but it could move and devour resources. It did not possess a full consciousness yet, but it was possible for it to develop one if it continued devouring more metal ores.
Swords also had their conditions for developing consciousness; there were two main ways.
A sword's consciousness could be fully awakened by its wielder's sword intent.
