On a large path, in the middle of a forest, a bronze-coated carriage was flying at high speed pulled by four horses. In the carriage were Damien and Charles. After some minutes, the carriage pulled out of the forest path and entered a larger route, there were other carriages on the route too. The horses pulling the carriage came to a gentle trod.
Damien saw sections of a large wall as he looked outside the window.
In the distance, he saw a huge city surrounded by large, strong-looking walls.
"This is Light City " Charles muttered. Damien nodded.
He couldn't lie, he was amazed by the city's magnificence.
The horses slowed down as they approached the city gates.
Damien saw a large number of guards standing around and on top of the walls. They gave off a powerful vibe, but he felt the Instructor at his side was much more powerful than all the guards.
The carriage pulled into the city, which was more beautiful inside. The streets were brick-layered, and the architecture of the buildings was something Damien had never seen before.
He looked at the happy people in the alleyways; they looked happy and peaceful.
"The goal of a monster slayer isn't just slaying monsters, our main aim is to protect these people, to keep the smile on....." Charles began but was interrupted by Damien.
"What about the people outside the city? " Damien asked. Charles was stumped.
" Huh... " he sighed. We can't protect everyone, even if we want to. The Otherworlders are too strong, "Charles replied.
"My goal is to kill them all... maybe after that the world will know peace but all the Otherworld monsters will have to die," Damien said coldly.
Charles was speechless.
"To have such an ambition..." Charles had never seen someone with so much ambition.
However, Charles agreed with him, If they were continuously on the defensive seeking to survive, then in the eyes of the Otherworlders, they were just livestock waiting to be
slaughtered.
However, the Otherworlders were too strong and mysterious as for their mysterious monarch, no one on the entire continent was near his level.
He looked at the youth before him, for some reason he felt that shortly the fate of the entire continent would depend on him.
Soon the carriage pulled to a stop, Damien looked outside he saw the largest building he had ever seen since they entered the city. There was a large board at the entrance with the words " SLAYER'S ACADEMY "
" Let, 's go, Charles said stepping out from the other side.
Damien stepped out too. Charles walked in followed by Damien. At the entrance, there were several guards as well as armor-equipped students who were chatting. Damien could feel the powerful auras they were all giving off.
He remembered his mom's words.
"There are others like you ".
Some of them briefly glanced at Damien before returning to what they were doing.
Damien followed Charles.
They walked further into the academy Tall buildings rose as they went further into the academy.
"That's the Library, you can go there for your Force Control skills tomorrow," Charles said pointing at a large gothic building.
"Huh...?Damien asked confused.
" That's the Canteen, you can grab a meal there anytime you are hungry" Charles added pointing at another building.
There's the Training Hall...Missions Hall, Weapons Pavilion, Lecture Building, and " Charles said, confusing the already confused youth.
"You got me ...remember you are in the Fifth Hostel, Room 207, The people in your room already know you are coming "
"Wait...What is..." Damien began but was interrupted.
"Ok, that's it for today, meet you in Class tomorrow Charles interrupted Damien.
" Ok bye " he suddenly leaped up creating a dust cloud on the ground.
"What's wrong with him? " Damien said emerging from the dust smoke.
In the distance, Charles had landed on a building and launched off again turning into a dot in the sky.
Damien felt awkward; he had to ask Charles so many questions, but there was no way he could catch up to Charles.
"Fifth Hostel, Room 207" he kept it in mind.
"Where's the Fifth Hostel?.. " Damien asked himself and realized he did not know.
He saw a male student walking in his direction.
He approached the student ."Excuse me Do you know where the Fifth Hostel is ?"Damien asked.
The student realized that Damien was new.
Who orientated you ?" The male student asked.
"Charles.." Damien muttered not sure why the student was asking.
"o doubt ... I guess we are all victims, " the male student said as though recalling a bad event that took place in the past.
"Huh? " Damien asked questionly
"You can call me June " June said.
Damien nodded. "Follow me He said turning around.
Damien followed him
Was it worthwhile mentioning that he had only been following one person after the other since he arrived here?
They entered the Fifth Hostel and June told him to go for the keys from the hostel administrator who was on the ground floor.
Damien thanked him as he left, Damien walked toward the middle-aged female administrator. She focused on him as he walked towards her table.
"Where's Room 207 ? " he asked. Before she could answer two people appeared beside him.
"You must be our new roommate
One of the two, the chubby one said putting his arm around Damien.
"Ok, Mary we'll take over from here." The slim one said to the administrator taking Damien's key from her.
He handed it to Damien.
"Ok, let's go," they both said heading for the stairs.
And for the umpteenth time, Damien was following someone again.
After climbing to the third floor, they walked to a room with the inscription " 207"
The room was quite spacious with three beds and several pieces of furniture and it was also tidy, but as Damien was about to find out later the room was only made tidy for his arrival today.
Damien sat on the third bed.
"I am Scott and this is Sony " The slim guy did the introduction
