A deep male voice Evie easily yet painfully recognised from yesterday's fated encounter echoed in her ear glazing her mind with unease and filling her mind with uncertainty. Even as she laid tossing and turning from an obvious nightmare,her hair damp from the cold sweat she had broken out in she could still clearly remember her assailant from the previous night. His damp silver hair that glistened from the water drops and his distant and hollow blue eyes that stared at nothing but her warm neck .
She was reliving the horror of last night's dilemma along with the bits and pieces from her previous ones that were strangely beginning to add up. Her fingers bunched up portions of her heavy blanket in her tiny fists , her toes clenching and unclenching as seconds ticked by far away from reality. Back in her nightmare it was getting to the climax where he was about biting her neck , his fangs grazing against the porcelain surface with her still protesting trying to get him off her and just when he was about digging in for the nth time her eyes suddenly shot open from sleep. She desparately gasped for much needed oxygen placing her hand over her chest feeling her accelerated heartbeat and raking her damp hair away from her face.
"Where....how...."
She tried to make sense of her surroundings taking in the usual sight of her lovely room tastefully decorated and designed by her BFF-Kendra, her unruly heart calming with each passing second. She would've loved to believe everything that has happened so far was just one of her many nightmares, however as her eyes landed on the scattered shards of the fallen glasscup littered across a small portion of the room beside her bed and a part of the floor stained with her blood she knew that all that had transpired was part of reality, her twisted reality .
Like a reflex her fingers moved to the side of her neck that had been bitten and sure enough she winced in pain as they came in contact with what felt like 2 holes rooted deeply in her neck. Without a second thought she leaped off her bed and made a mad dash towards her vanity not minding in the slightest her loose robe that had come undone. She stood in front of the mirror and flipping her hair to a side she was able to see 2 bright red dots that had formed prettily on her neck.
"The f**k!"
She cursed inwardly feeling a sense of dread come over her. Unknowingly she dropped to her knees with a soft thud and placed her hands over her mouth not knowing what to do.
Vampires were real!
Vampires were so f***ing real!
How was this possible?,and how come she of all people encountered one. She wasn't the type to believe in mythological nonsense and would always dismiss the thoughts of supernatural creatures actually existing as overrated.
Was this karma coming to bite her in the butt?
Before she could interrogate herself even more a series of knocks resounded in her room.
Knock! knock!
Evie wondered who it might be so early in the morning. She wasn't in the mood to entertain flowers or love letters . She decided to ignore the knocking and go back to sleep perhaps when she wakes up she'll discover it's just a dream,still not wanting to accept reality.
KNOCK!!! KNOCK!!!
They got louder irritating the already dazed Evie who gave up and marched towards the door ready to give whoever wanted to break down her door a piece of her mind. But as soon as she properly tied her robe before pulling it open all her earlier irritation vanished and was replaced with a fondness and a hint of surprise.
"Kennie?"
She muttered as soon as she saw the gorgeous but cute figure standing in front with her arms crossed and her lips thinned .
"Well good afternoon to you too sunshine".
Kendra -one of the schools top beauties with a very influential and wealthy background who also doubles as Evies best friend piped up as she scanned Evie from top to bottom with small smirk playing out on her full print pink lips.
"What do we have here?"
Her sort of standoffish best friend in nothing but a silk robe with unruly bed hair which stuck to her face and an expression that suggested she has been up all night...her dirty mind went to work as she thought about the activities that might've taken place....

Unlike Evie Kendra was sporting a chanel branded baby pink top half tucked into matching white jeans highlighting her beautiful legs . There was a goldrimmed dark toned sunglasses on top of her head and in one of her hands was her smartphone.
"Ken what are you doing here?, it's 7 in the morning"she questioned as Kendra rolled her eyes.
"Is that how to welcome someone who waited 4 long freaking and extremely boring hrs for you outside in the blazing sun?"
Wait what!?
She aimed to enter the room but was immediately blocked by Evie who didn't want her to see the mess on the floor. Despite Kendras detached character she was still ever the worrywart whenever it came to Evie.
"What's up, is your bae still in there?"
"My what?"
Kendra used this opportunity to get past Evie who was slow to react due to her built up fatigue.
"What happened here?"Kendra asked the moment she stepped in. Though it wasn't a big mess it still kinda made her worry. Since they were still in the dorms Evie quickly shut the door to avoid any wandering eyes and gossiping ears. The last thing she wanted is to become the subject of everyone's conversation,again!.
As soon as she turned back she saw Kendra already plopped on top of her bed , her legs crossed giving a pointed look.
"Now I have a lot of questions I wanna ask but something tells me you have something you need to get off your chest.
Spill it out what happened"
Evie fiddled with her fingers aimlessly and looked at anywhere but Kendra who noticed her nervous habits. She wasn't that on alert before but after Evies sudden display of uncertainty her forest green eyes sharpened.
She rarely saw that expression on her face.
Seconds passed and Evie sighed after thinking for a while. She thinned her lips and made her way to sit next to Kendra on the bed. She then took another deep breath and finally deciding to look at Kendra she dropped the heavy question on her mind
"Do you believe in vampires?"
