The Large LED tv shone and dimmed as my favourite show played. My eyes glued to the screen as I watched with rapt attention
She got a journal from her dad, I want dad to give me a journal too!
Leaping up from my seat I ran inside, pushing the curtains aside I entered Dad's room, he was on his phone. He has been on the device for quite some time now, he barely watched tv with us anymore because of it.
"Dad, I want a journal"
He looked at me from the the corner of his eye, his cut eyebrows furrowed as he scratched his hair, the strands glowed in the dimly lit room
"Hmm, ain't got money for that but here"
He sat up, his rat tail hair(as I liked to call it) fell behind him. Digging through his wardrobe he pulled out a journal. A used one.
With a huge smile I bounced on the bed, my hair glowing and ears twitching. Running out of his room I ran to Mama and held the journal up to her
"Look what Dad gave me!"
For the first time in all my life, I saw Mama's face pale. She snatched the book from me and held my hands.
"Baby, why don't you let me keep this one, I'll buy you one even more beautiful than this one okay?"
I scrunched up my nose with teary eyes
"...but Dad gave me that one...why would you take it away from me?"
Crying I pulled my hands from her and ran to Eudora's room.
I burst into Eudora's room, my eyes cloudy with tears but I saw her swiftly hide something under her blanket,
"What do you want?" She snapped
I shook my head and sat in the corner of her room
