Chapter - Learning to Forge

"Wait a moment." Tang Yang called out to Vincent.

"What is it?"

"Uh ... can you teach me as well!? What did you do back then!?"

"Sure, but ... I think that you are not very interested in the swords. We'll train early in the morning. I'll teach you about basic combat training."

Tang Yang beamed with joy, "Yay, I've the best big brother and the best little sister in the world."

Na'er rolled her eyes, but she felt happy for some reason. Vincent was about to open the front door as he was stunned for a few moments when he heard Yang's words. A trace of sadness as well as happiness appeared on his face at those few moments. He became normal like a professional spy. They entered the house saying 'Hi' in unison.

The two hungry eaters forgot the formalities as they hurriedly ran towards the kitchen. The scent of roasted meat was so good that they could fight at any moment for it. Vincent only sighed and shaked his head on seeing this. Lang Yue didn't allow them to eat anything from the big dish despite their pleading. At this moment, their mother had become cold-hearted. Vincent was silently meditating at the corner like he didn't care a single bit. Only when Tang Ziran came home did they start the dinner. This time, all the people ate to their fill except Vincent. It was hard to say that this family is normal anymore. There were two big eaters that could eat a heap of food and a kid who remained calm and quiet all the time. He hardly showed any reaction. You will consider that are they really humans.

Vincent had already told the two not to talk about the incident as it would create further problems and discomfort for all of them. Vincent had gained great respect from Tang Yang and Na'er. When they were talking during return, Vincent learned that Tang Yang was a few months younger than him, while Na'er was even few months younger than Tang Yang. That's why Tang Yang was referring him as a big brother.

After the dinner, Tang Yang started to recall his experience of his academy day to his father and what he learned. His mother was storing the leftover meat in the Soul Fridge.

"Do you still remember Uncle Mang Tian?"

"I remember! Isn't he the one who visited us before?" The image of a tall, rugged middle-aged man appeared within Tang Yang's mind.

Tang Ziran said, "Your Uncle Mang Tian is an outstanding blacksmith. I'll talk to him. If you two performed well, then he can give you and Vincent the opportunity to apprentice under him.

Tang Yang eyes were shining. "I want to do it, dad! When can I begin?"

Yang Ziran meaningfully looked at Yang and said, "Forging is a highly difficult profession. Do you truly want to do this? If you really want to, then prepare yourself tomorrow."

Tang Yang went towards his room, where Vincent was already meditating on his bed. So, he also started to meditate. Vincent noticed that Tang Yang was an expert in meditation. He was even able to grasp the art of meditation.

The morning of the next day, Tang Yang was fighting with Vincent. But he couldn't able to deliver a single hit on Vincent. Vincent was occasionally guiding as well as complaining about his footwork and movement. Tang Yang really had more physical prowess than his peers for some strange reason. If he really knows how to use it properly. He could attain the feet that Vincent had performed yesterday.

"That's enough for now. We'll be late for the academy otherwise."

All the kids bid farewell to Tang Yang mother and hurried to school in high spirits.

All three kids were very smart. They listened to the lectures earnestly and even earned words of praise from the cultural teacher.

After the end of the school day, Tang Yang was greeted with the sight of Lang Yue. She quickly hugged the trio.

"Mom, I'm already a big kid. You're embarrassing me in front of the academy!"

Lang Yue spurted out a laugh, "No matter how big you are, you will always be my son. I'm here to bring you to Uncle Mang Tian."

She broke the hug and looked at Vincent. A thought crossed her mind.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

At night time,

"Ziran, I understand that we are taking care of Na'er ... that other kid ... he often creeps me out."

Tang Ziran replied with a sigh, "He belonged from a prestigious clan; moreover, his whole family maybe his whole clan was slaughtered. It'll not going to surprise me if it happened in front of him. It'll probably explain his strange behaviour. Guess who did it ... the Dark Lord himself. It presume that you understand where all of this is going ... I just want for him that he didn't become an evil soul master ... I hope and ask you to treat him like you treat Tang Yang."

" ... "

Lang Yue affectionately put her hand on the head of Vincent. "Please take care of yourself as well as Tang Yang. I admit that you are more mature than him."

Vincent nodded in response and didn't say anything else.
