'It's so cold…'
Drax's brain slowly contemplated the bone-chilling feeling he was experiencing as everything faded to black before his eyes, and he died.
Just like that, he was gone.
His dreams and aspirations suddenly ceased to be because of some silly accident.
Even if the Witch were to face the law and become convicted, Drax was dead.
Nothing that happened afterwards concerned him.
It was no longer his business.
However, Drax did not feel like he had died, nor did he feel like there was a gap in time, as almost immediately, he could hear the sound of mumbling.
The words that reached his ears were not something he understood. He heard it clearly but couldn't comprehend it.
It was an unfamiliar tongue.
He had never heard it before, much less understood it.
He tried to look and search for the source of these strange sounds, but he couldn't even open his eyes.
Drax was simply too weak to even control his own body at the moment.
No matter how many times he tried, he kept failing and failing until he grew tired of trying.

< You have awakened the Strongest System! >
Multiple resplendent screens appeared inside Drax's mind, seeming to float as if in the air.
While he was taken back and utterly dumbfounded by the sight, Drax soon recovered his composure just a few minutes afterwards.
He was happy.
In a jiffy, he already deduced what this was.
It was something he was all too familiar with.
A concept he understood like millions of others back on Earth.
He was living every otakus' dream, or at least was about to start doing so.
Drax was deeply excited that he didn't care that he was dead a second ago.
'So it is real!' he exclaimed in his heart with excitement.
'Isekai is real!'
He loved and relished the idea of being reincarnated, of leaving his life back on Earth and getting a chance to live a second chance.
'Hmm. Strongest system?' Drax wondered. 'What's…'
Before he could compose his thoughts together, he dozed off without any control.
Although he slept off, Drax could still feel his body being moved around but he couldn't react to this.
"He's so handsome, Alucard," the elf queen purred as she rocked the baby boy in her arms.
Alucard walked over to the pair and looked at the newest mother-and-child duo.
Even though she had been sceptical about helping Queen Freya perform the SSS-ranked summoning spell, seeing Drax's cute baby face made Alucard have no regrets.
Whenever she looked at the baby, the dragon spirit was happy that she partook in the ritual.
If not for anything, for the fact that Freya was happy, Alucard had no regrets for helping her out with the ritual.
"He is, my queen," Alucard replied.
Queen Freya looked at her and smiled before throwing an arm around Alucard's neck and pulling her in.
The elf queen rubbed her forehead against the dragon spirit's, feeling very thankful for her help and almost having tears drawn from her eyes.
"Thank you, my friend."
Hearing the sincerity in her mistress' words, Alucard's heart melted.
She was used to hearing the elf queen called her friend and also wanted the dragon spirit to do likewise but this time around, it felt even more genuine than before.
Alucard could tell that it came from the very depths of her heart and she meant it.
That was how much it meant to her that she got what she wanted.
The elf queen couldn't conceive on her own and for someone who wished, more than anything, to have her own kids, it was torture.
…Extreme torture and she has been desperately looking for a means to get one.
When she did, Alucard knew that there was nothing that was going to stop her.
"Freya…" the dragon queen called her.
The elf queen stopped rocking the baby and looked at her dragon companion.
Alucard wore a more serious look and Freya could already sense that whatever she had going on in her head was definitely something to be worried about.
"What about the World Council, Freya?"
Queen Freya continued to rock her baby lovingly, paying no reasonable attention to the dragon spirit's concern.
After a few seconds of smiling and rocking baby Drax, she looked up at the Dragon Spirit and smiled at her.
With all care for political matters fading from her eyes, she said, "Fuck the World Council, Alucard."
"They are not my business right now…"
Freya turned to the baby in her arms and poked his cheek gently, giving it a soft rub as she smiled from ear to ear.
"Moreover, we can always find our way around. It wouldn't be the first time they are sticking their nose where it doesn't belong, would it?"
Alucard froze, feeling like a huge hammer had struck her squarely on top of her head.
She wanted to speak but her lips were twitching uncontrollably.
Without a doubt, Queen Freya was one of the strongest witches in the world and she, Alucard, was also one of the strongest spirits in the world, but this did not in any way reduce the threat which the World Council was.
Even if they were, speculatively, just as strong, it didn't make the World Council weak nor did it make the two of them immortal in any way.
"My queen, but—"
Queen Freya looked at the dragon spirit deep into her eyes.
"Don't worry about them, my dear Alucard," the elf queen said, gently cupping the dragon spirit's cheek in her warm palm as she reassured her.
"We can keep this between us for now until our baby grows and is strong enough. It would be our little secret… you and I."
Queen Freya looked at the baby and rocked him with one hand, before taking the dragon spirit's hand and drawing her closer.
"I'm sure with my blood and yours running through his veins, he will be strong… maybe stronger than the two of us. Maybe he will be able to do the things that even I couldn't do."
"No way—"
"Yes way, Alucard. I believe that our baby will."
The dragon spirit's eye widened even further as she managed to whisper, "...Our baby?"
Queen Freya nodded her head in acknowledgement.
"He is… our… baby, Alucard. Our little happiness and we are both his mothers now. We will stay by his side and take good care of him, protecting him from whatever threats that may come. The son of the elf queen and dragon queen."
Alucard said nothing, only looking at the elf queen and the baby.
"Who do you think he will look like, Alucard?" the elf queen asked, clearly and deeply still emotional about this whole moment of being a new mother.
Alucard shrugged.
"Me, I suppose. Everyone knows spirit heritage is stronger than mortal heritage, and even more, I am the dragon queen!"
Queen Freya scoffed, realising that Alucard made a point and the baby might not look like her as she would have loved him to be.
"Proud thing!" she yelled at the dragon with tears exaggerated in her eyes.
After a few seconds, the elf queen comported herself and looked at the magic circle before turning her eyes to Alucard.
As if they both understood each other, Alucard nodded and Queen Freya did the same.
Alucard knew her duty was to clean up the spell while Queen Freya takes care of the baby.
The elf queen knew that her dragon companion was not the best at nurturing a newborn and would have preferred Freya take up the motherly role instead of her.
Freya took the newborn and started to walk towards the exit of the grand hall where the ritual was done.
"About the World Council…" Freya halted and spoke.
"We can just tell them we were training our battle skills, or better still, trying to develop a new spell."
Alucard bowed as she prepared to clear up every trace of the SSS rank summoning spell that was used.
"As you wish…"
