Chapter 36 - Chapter 32

The school bell rang, a piercing sound that echoed through the halls of UA High. I felt the vibration in my chest as I gathered my books and made my way to the exit. The crowd of students jostled around me, their chatter a low buzz as they dispersed for the day. My eyes scanned the sea of faces, searching for the one that mattered most—my little brother. His bright green eyes met mine, and I waved him over.

"Hey, Deku," I called out, using his hero name.

Izuku's cheeks flushed slightly at the sound of it, but he managed a small smile as he pushed through the throng of students.

As we walked to the locker room, the weight of the day's events still lingered. The false alarm had rattled everyone's nerves, but the underlying tension was something we had grown accustomed to in a world where heroes were as common as pebbles on a beach. I knew Izuku was eager to talk about his newfound abilities, and I was equally as eager to listen and offer guidance.

Once we were all changed and out of earshot, we decided to head to the park nearby. The afternoon sun cast a warm glow over the green expanse, and the scent of blooming flowers filled the air. It was a stark contrast to the cold, metal confines of the school, and it felt like a sigh of relief to be outside. Diamond, Marcus, Eliza, Katsume, Alex, and Hannah all fell into step alongside us, their laughter and conversation a welcome distraction from the earlier chaos.

As we found a secluded spot under a sprawling oak tree, I couldn't help but feel a sense of pride in Izuku. Despite the sudden shift in his life, he had handled the revelation of my true identity with remarkable composure. The burden of keeping our secret weighed heavily on me, but I knew that together, we could navigate the treacherous waters of the hero world.

"Alright, let's get started," I announced, setting my bag down and pulling out the study materials. Izuku's eyes lit up with excitement as he sat cross-legged beside me, his notebook and pens ready for action. The rest of the group spread out, some opting to study, while others chatted or played games on their phones.

Momo, my girlfriend, looked up from her book, her eyes sparkling with curiosity.

I can sense she wants something but I know she won't tell me, she gets flustered easily

and it's really cute.

"What's up, Momo?" I asked, giving her a gentle nudge with my elbow.

Her cheeks flushed a light shade of pink, and she bit her bottom lip before speaking. "I was just wondering... about what we did today..in the locker rooms...

My face went red as I remember our intimate moment where we had made out in the locker

rooms before training this morning. Diamond and Marcus must of notice something was up

because they both smirked in my direction and started with the teasing. Katsume and Hannah

chuckled and shook their heads as they eavesdropped while working on an English project.

"You guys really need to get a room," Eliza said, rolling her eyes playfully.

"I'm just curious if we can train together," Momo clarified, her cheeks growing even redder.

I nodded, relieved that she was referring to our training and not our earlier tryst. "Of course, we can work on your Quirk control. Maybe we could spar a bit later?"

Momo's face brightened, and she nodded eagerly. "That would be great, Anos."

Marcus and Diamond exchanged smirks, their eyes dancing with mischief. "Oh, I'm sure you'll be showing her a thing or two," Marcus said with a wink, nudging Diamond.

"What are you two up to?" Izuku asked, his innocence a stark contrast to their knowing glances.

Diamond's smirk grew wider. "Oh, just planning our next training montage. You know, the usual: sweat, tears, and maybe a little bit of romance."

Momo's eyes darted between Marcus and me, a hint of understanding in her gaze. She playfully elbowed me, her smile never wavering. "Well, as long as it doesn't interfere with my study time."

Her teasing remark was met with more laughter from the group. I couldn't help but chuckle as well. It was moments like these that made me realize how much I cherished our friendship—how much we had all grown since our early days at UA.

But the lightness of the moment was soon pierced by a figure approaching from the distance. It was Ochaco Uraraka, her brown hair fluttering in the breeze. She waved at us with a look of determination on her face.

"Hey, guys!" she called out, jogging over. "I need to borrow Momo and Deku for a bit. We've got a surprise study session with Class 1-A."

Momo looked at me, a question in her eyes. I knew she was torn between staying with our group and not wanting to miss out on an opportunity to learn from the top students. With a sigh, she packed her things. "We'll be back soon," she promised, giving my hand a quick squeeze before joining Uraraka.

Izuku followed behind them, waving bye at me and my friends in the process.

"Looks like we're down two members," Alex commented, glancing at his watch. "But that doesn't mean we can't have some fun of our own."

Diamond's grin grew even wider as she leaned back on his elbows. "Soo, spill the tea, Anos! What was that about earlier?"

My face grew hotter than a sunburn on a cloudless day. "It was nothing, just a... a misunderstanding," I stuttered, hoping to steer the conversation elsewhere.

But Diamond wasn't letting it go that easily. She leaned in closer, a glint of amusement in his eye. "A misunderstanding that left you both looking like you'd just won the lottery?"

Marcus chimed in, his curiosity piqued. "Yeah, Anos, spill. Did something spicy happen between you two?"

The giggles from Hannah and Eliza grew louder, and even Katsume couldn't resist the urge to smirk as he typed away on his laptop, the screen reflecting the amusement in his eyes.

"Guys, come on," I protested, trying to keep a straight face. "It's not like that."

But Marcus was already leaning in, his eyes sparkling with mischief. "Oh, so you're saying there's nothing to tell?"

Diamond winked at me. "Come on, Anos, don't hold out on us. Did you finally tell Momo how you feel?"

Marcus leaned back on his elbows, a knowing smile playing on his lips. "Yeah, man, spill it. Did you finally get up the nerve?"

Diamond's eyes gleamed with excitement as she prodded further. "What happened, Anos? Did you finally confess to Momo?"

Eliza's grin grew even wider. "Yeah, come on, don't leave us hanging." She reached into her pocket and pulled out a coin. "I've got an idea. Play me in heads or tails. If I win, you tell us everything. If you win, you don't have to say a word."

I sighed, knowing I was in for it either way. "Alright, fine." I took the coin from her and gave it to diamond who gave it a flip. "Heads," I called out, feeling a strange sense of foreboding.

Diamond's eyes lit up as the coin spun through the air, a blur of silver glinting in the sun. The anticipation grew as it began to descend.

"Tails," Eliza said, her voice filled with glee.

Diamond caught the coin with a deft flick of her wrist and slapped it onto the back of her hand. She revealed the outcome with a dramatic flourish, her grin widening as she announced, "Eliza wins!"

The group erupted in cheers and laughter, while I couldn't help but feel a mix of embarrassment and resignation. I knew I'd be the victim of their jokes for a while now. With a deep breath, I began my confession, my cheeks burning hotter than a volcano.

"Okay, okay," I said, raising my hands in surrender. "This morning, Momo and I... well, we sort of confessed our feelings for each other."

The group's laughter died down, replaced by a collective gasp. "Wait, what?" Katsume's eyes went wide. "You guys are dating now?"

"Well, yea...," I clarified, trying to keep my cool despite the heat in my cheeks. "We admitted we had feelings for each other and it went from there but there is more..."

Eliza's grin grew as she looked at the coin on her hand, tails up. "Looks like you owe us a story, Anos," she teased, her voice filled with glee.

My cheeks burned as the reality of my loss sank in. "Fine," I said with a sigh. "But keep it down, okay?" I didn't want the entire park to know about my love life.

Eliza's eyes sparkled with victory as she leaned in, eager to hear the juicy details. "So, what happened exactly?" she prompted.

I took a deep breath, trying to compose myself. "Well, Momo and I were talking about our feelings, and things just... escalated." I could feel their eyes on me, waiting for the gossip to spill like tea from a cracked cup. "We ended up... kissing."

The group's collective jaw dropped, and the park's ambient noise grew louder as their whispers filled the space.

"You guys?!" Hannah's voice was a mix of shock and excitement. "That's huge! You're finally together!"

Eliza's grin was uncontainable as she nudged me with her shoulder. "See, I knew it! The tension between you two was palpable."

Her revelation was met with a round of cheers and congratulations from the group, their teasing laughter a gentle reminder of the camaraderie we shared. Even Katsume couldn't resist cracking a smile, though he tried to cover it with a nonchalant shrug.

"Well, it's about time," Marcus said, slapping me on the back with a hearty laugh. "We've all seen the way you two look at each other."

I couldn't help but blush deeper, my cheeks feeling like they were on fire. "It's not that big of a deal," I mumbled, trying to deflect the attention.

"Are you kidding?" Diamond leaned in, her eyes gleaming with excitement. "You guys finally made it official! That's huge!"

The weight of their gazes bore down on me, and I felt a bead of sweat trickle down my forehead. "Look, it's not a big deal," I repeated, trying to sound casual. But my voice was louder than I intended, and a few nearby students glanced over, curiosity piqued.

"You guys are too much," I muttered, shaking my head. "It's just something that happened. We're still figuring things out."

Eliza's grin didn't fade as she tucked the coin back into her pocket. "Well, congrats on making it official, Anos," she said, her voice filled with genuine warmth. "It's about time you two lovebirds admitted it to each other."

I groaned and slumped back against the tree, my cheeks still flaming. "Thanks," I mumbled, the embarrassment still thick in the air.

But the group's excitement didn't waver, and the conversation soon turned to the evening's plans. "Eliza's parents are out of town, right?" Diamond asked, glancing at Eliza with a knowing smile.

Eliza nodded, her eyes sparkling with mischief. "That's right. And you know what that means... Party at my place tonight!"

And with that we made it through our first month of this story thank you guys!
