'The blue box is talking to me. It's not a dream, and did it just call itself a system? What the hell is that?'
Celina looked around one more time to confirm if it was really the blue box that spoke to her. She was alone in the sixth room, so she decided to believe it was the blue box, no, the system.
"Hey, system. What are you? How did you enter my body? What the hell are unlucky points?"
{You're not at the level where I can answer your questions}
"What do you mean level?" She furrowed her eyebrows.
{You're at level 16 and that's the reason I'm able to communicate with you, unlucky human}
Celina was still confused. She levelled up after the little duel or... The training she had with the demon queen. The more she upgrades, the more the system upgrades. She never even understood what a system was. Of course, she's in a fantasy world where there are magic, fantastical creatures and other stuff that makes up a fantasy world.
But, she has never heard of a system. She doesn't know what it is.
{If you'd like to know more about the system, get stronger, upgrade your stats and also level up}
"Get stronger? Aren't I strong already? Most of my stats are more than average"
{Average? Is that what you believe? You're the weakest human. Once you leave this place, you'll understand}
"Hold on!" Celina raised her hand. The door opened and Kali walked in with a tray. She still had that frown on her face. Celina thought no one would come into the room again, especially her.
"Were you just talking to yourself? Is that what humans do?" Kali asked, raising an eyebrow.
"No, I wasn't. Haha!" Celina scratched the back of her head as she wore nervous laughter.
{Instead of speaking with your mouth. Try communicating through your thoughts}
'Huh? Like this?'
{Yes, unlucky human}
Celina rolled her eyes and looked back at Kali, who was already seeing her as a weird person.
"Haha!" She gave another nervous laugh and threw her legs off the bed.
"Is that my dinner? Thank you"
"Don't thank me. You need to eat for your hellish training tomorrow"
She pushed the heavy tray to Celina and left the room. Celina lowered her head. She also wants to be strong. She wants to complete all of her training so she'll be able to get her revenge on those people who were responsible for her death. Not just them; all humans have automatically become her enemies. They watched when she was bullied. They watched when she starved and fainted on the street several times, but no one cared to help.
The noblemen ran her over with their carriages, but she survived after being unconscious for a week. Thanks to her friends, the dogs.
Celina slipped her fingers into her short hair and clenched her fist, wearing a determined look.
"I'll complete all the training and become the strongest human!"
{Good luck, unlucky human. You'll need it}
Celina's expression turned sour. She doesn't know if the system was really wishing her good luck or if it was an insult.
She turned her gaze to the food in the tray. She saw some bread, jam and a jar of milk.
"Milk? Am I a child?" She frowned.
'Ah! I'm just five years old'
She realised.
At first, she thought she wouldn't be able to eat anything here in the demon palace. All of her thoughts were on the fact that demons eat humans.
"What if this bread was made from the human body?"
{Stupid}
.
.
The next morning, a surprised Kali saw Celina waiting on the training ground. She had thought Celina would sleep late so she would have a reason to punish her later. But to her surprise, Celina was early.
'How did she even find the training ground?'
"Good morning, Kali!" Celina waved.
"Don't greet me. Let's go straight to our training. I only have two things to teach you. First, is to unlock your affinity for fire and the next one is to teach you spatial magic"
"Spatial magic?"
"You're a little human, so I don't expect you to learn everything at once. Her majesty told me how she defeated you during yesterday's duel"
"Defeated? She said I won" Celina pouted her lips.
"She lied. I can't go into details, but she used her spatial magic and defeated you at the end. Watch and learn, human; I'll use both fire and spatial magic at once," she said and walked away. She got to the middle of the training field and Celina fixed her gaze on her.
She hasn't heard about spatial magic before. She hasn't even heard of any kind of magic. She never learnt in her past life, but she'll be able to do so in this life.
"Spatial magic allows a mage to manipulate space" She gave a short explanation and, in one second, formed a fireball in her hand without any incantations.
"This... I'm going to send this in your direction. Make sure to block it"
Celina looked around. There was no sword with her. However, she found a stick lying on the floor and she remembered what Clyde told her during her training.
'Anything can be used as a sword as long as it's embedded with aura'
She grabbed the stick and used her aura to physically strengthen it.
"I see, you're ready. Make sure you watch out for it" Kali said and waved her hand, sending the fireball to Celina. Celina could see it. Even if it was fast, she could see it and she was confident that she could block it.
She held the stick up, waiting for the perfect moment to strike. However... It disappeared.
"Huh?" Celina raised an eyebrow.
Suddenly, something hit her from behind, sending her to the floor.
Ding!
{Number of unlucky points: Max (+1000)}
"Argh!" Celina groaned on the floor. She struggled to stand up and saw Kali in front of her.
"You're weak human. Do you now understand what spatial magic is? It's one of the best magic for a surprise attack"
"Why didn't you tell me?" Celina groaned.
"I don't see any need to. Since you understand what our training will be all about. Let's start with something simple. Let's unlock your affinity for fire. It's easy, just feel the mana inside and convert it to what you imagine. Fire" Kali turned around as she explained.
She was sure that Celina wouldn't be able to get it. After all, she was stupid enough not to block the attack from the spatial magic. She's a demon, not just a demon. She had royal blood in her. She spent just a week learning how to use the fireball without any incantations. Her late brother, the demon king, even complimented how quick she was to learn how to use the fireball with ease.
Kali felt so proud of herself and was confident that no one would be able to surpass her, not even a five-year-old human.
"Is this the fireball you threw at me?" Celina asked. Kali turned her head with an Indifferent look on her face. She saw the fireball over Celina's palm and staggered. She remembered that the demon queen told her not to be surprised if Celina learned everything within a day.
"Impossible! How were you able to do that so easily?" Kali frowned.
Celina's lips curved into a weird smile. Well, her affinity for the fire was already unlocked when she practised what she read from the books she found in Eira's tree house. She can't just tell Kali that the system assisted her.
"You are a great teacher. Since I already understand fire, let's move to spatial magic. I can't wait to learn it" She clenched her fist, wearing an excited look on her face.
Kali furrowed her eyebrows and gritted her teeth.
"You... What the hell are you?"
