The Chain in my wrist unclasp as we walk to the old wooden pathway,
The old wooden door opened,
revealing a woman standing on the patio, her red lips and sharp eyes locked in to me.
She raised her eyebrows
"Don't like her?" the director asked
"Hmpf! Alright…process all the papers with our signed terms .-you" she looked at me
"Let's go, I don't have that much time to burn" I looked at the Head she just wave her hand
"She's Shayk Raye, you must listen to her." I nodded my head
I followed her until we came outside where her car waiting with a man in tux
The maple leaves spread everywhere, the cold wind blew as the sign for winter
coming
I looked up to the skies
"Get in"
I slid on the open door for passenger seat
The Car starts moving
and slowly, the two storey mansion completely lose in my sight
The tall trees beneath the dark made a lonely alley
"I suppose you know the deal?" She break the silence
"Yes," I answered
Hours passed as we entered the biggest town I've ever seen. The mahogany signage across the emblem says 'The Land of Krieger' the Car stopped inside the white, gray big looking palace
A women welcomed us, she looked at me with hint of shocked
"Hurry, Clean her. make sure she get tidy and if she's done let her come to the dining room" the woman obediently nodded and looked at me, so I followed her
We get into a big room with two girls, she talked to them then they put me on a bathtub
"I can do it" I looked at them, they nodded again
I bathed myself with them looking at me unbothered
They hand me a cream silk mid dress and and tied my long hair in braided
Then they gave a pair of shoes, after we do things, they escorted me to the dining room where on the long table, people gather with their eyes up on me.
This is it,
This is what I was paid for.
I'm here to act as the daughter of an aristocrat who lived far away from this land,
The daughter who ran away from her home just to see the love of her life.
How romantic I am,
When I can't even imagine what romantic relationship supposed to be
I am sold to do this job within months in exchange for my freedom
I sold my dignity for escaping the reality of the world, and to take one last chance to breathe normally, like others...
