Rin, "What did I do?" Investigator shows him a video. Investigator, "This happened around 10pm-12pm. The entire snake clan was destroyed and someone tipped us that you were a halfling. Only a halfling can do this much damage. So tell me where you were during that time?!" Rin felt threatened and he didn't feel safe. Rin, "I demand to have a lawyer." Rin was able to hire his own lawyer. His lawyers contacted witnesses to testify for Rin. Rin was the first halfling to be put to trial for the public. Many were protesting for Rin nationwide. The elders of the different beasts clans came together to discuss the situation. The Sato clan came together to have a meeting as well. Everyone was worried for Rin before the trial started. Rin's lawyer gathered witnesses and backups. The two females that Rin saved also came forward to talk with Rin's lawyer Miki. Miki, "You two are?" Female, "I am Mira Ito." Female 2, "I am Akiko Wu." Miki, "Can you tell me what happened? Thank you." The trial starts and the Snake clan lawyers come with his evidence and witnesses for three days. Rin was questioned and the world was watching. Since Rin was a halfling he only had 2 days. Once the Snake clan lawyer was done with his three days. The public's opinion still hasn't swayed only some. However, media outlets came out with their own verdict before there were any answers.

Influencer: I find that interesting because the Snake clan has gotten away with many crimes in the past. I believe what's going on here is that they are paying the media to lie on Mr. Rin's name before he can even tell his side of the story. When I read the article it only states what 1% have done in the past. Mind you these crimes are soft crimes like stealing or selling drugs. I say we all let Mr. Rin tells his side of the story. This is unacceptable and unethical. Journalism has died. Mind you this is by Unknown author.

Due to the online backlash of the article, that article was taken down. While Miki gets ready to start the trial. Another case started and it was the Sato clan suing news media outlets. However, that case wasn't that serious. The day came for Rin and Miki to tell the story. Rin already answered the snake clan's lawyer's questions. Now it was Miki's turn and they had no practice with each other since she had to get evidence to prove his innocence. Miki, "Mr. Rin, where were you on the night of the incident?" Rin, "At my workplace which is at a bar where I lived there." Miki, "Why are you living at work Mr. Rin?" Rin, "My apartment was destroyed during a fight between Mr. Sasaki and Mr. Sato." People in the crowd started to whisper because they all remembered when that happened. Judge, "Order!" Everyone was quiet. Miki, "What were you doing that night when the fight happened?" Rin, "I was having a drinking party because I hit adulthood. The night before it was the full moon. My good friend Kazuto Sasaki took me out of town and anyone who is a werewolf understands what happens during a full moon." Miki, "What did you do after the drinking party?" Rin, "I had the day off so I went back to my room. When I woke up the person sleeping next to me was Mr. Sasaki. He stayed the night over because my boss allowed him to. When I got up the day I was taken to the police station I was going to get breakfast for the both of us." Miki, "Anything else happened?" Rin, "That's all I did. If you don't believe me, that's up to you." Miki, "Thank you Mr. Rin." Rin went back to his seat. Miki, "I would like to bring two witnesses that night of the incident." Kazuto and Rin's manager arrived. They both were questioned by Miki. Snake clan's lawyer, "That's a lie! You're honored! I object to them from testifying." Judge, "Sit down." The snake clan's lawyer sits down. Miki asked Kazuto the same questions as well. Kazuto, "When I woke up I found a note left behind by Rin." Kazuto picked up the note. Miki had a professional come forward and Rin wrote down his name. The professional, "The same handwriting." Kazuto, "I was surprised to find out Rin was taken to the police station." Then Rin's manager was questioned next. Manager, "I said see you later when he told me he was heading out to get breakfast. That's the last time I spoke to him." Miki has Rin come onto the stand again. Rin, "They came and attacked me. Rules in the beast world you attack first you have the right to defend yourself." Miki, "Why did you think they attacked you?" Rin, "They were making two customers feel uncomfortable around that time. I told them to leave. I was just heading home from my shift too." The snake clan's lawyer didn't know about that incident. He looked at the snake clan elders who had no clue about that situation. The next day, Miki brought in Akiko and Mira. People were surprised to see two famous pop singers arrive as witnesses. They told their story and that's what set off a firestorm online. Their fans were protesting in front of the Snake Clan's estate demanding an apology for the girls and even online. Finally the last day of the trial arrived and everyone was waiting for the verdict. Judge, "We find that Mr. Rin is not guilty." Rin and Miki hugged each other. After everything Rin finally returned back to his life. He had a welcome back party with everyone at the bar. Meanwhile, a new protest has started to put in place a law in place for halflings not to be discriminated against and treated with respect and decency. However, still all around the world the halflings are still treated horribly but thanks to Rin's case many of them are stepping forward sharing their stories and experiences in different parts of the world but other countries have completely banned halflings from going to those countries even if they have family there. Meanwhile, the halfling that started everything was surprised by the outcome. He went to visit the elders of the Snake Clan at the estate. That halfling appeared in front of the snake elders. Elder, "Who are you?" The man smiled and afterwards the elders were also beaten up. One of the elders decided to call Rin. Rin gave his phone number to them if they ever needed help rebuilding. The elder was bleeding but he was slowly healing. The elder called Rin. Rin who was in the bar working but he was on break. Rin was checking his phone until he got the call. Rin answers the phone. Rin, "Hello?" Elder, "Mr. Rin." Rin, "Mr. Suzuki? You sound horrible." Suzuki, "I am sorry for going after you. The person who attacked us was…" Rin's eyes were wide open. Rin, "Are you okay? Do you need me to come over?" Suzuki, "No but not everyone is safe." Rin's manager came to tell him his break was over. Suzuki, "Mr. Rin do you know who that man is?" Rin, "I do." Suzuki, "He is dangerous." Rin, "I know he is." Manager, "Rin? Who are you talking to?" Rin, "Take care of yourself Mr. Suzuki." Rin hangs up the phone. Manager, "Rin, are you okay?" Rin made a fist. Rin, "Close the bar." Manager, "Why?" Rin, "The snake clan elders were attacked by the person who attacked the snake clan." The manager's eyes were wide open. Rin, "He is coming to see me. I will be meeting him alone." The manager, "Will you be okay?" Rin, "I don't know." Rin heads out of the bar and he goes to an abandoned building. Rin, "I know you're there." The man comes out. Man, "You're all grown up." Rin, "Why are you here?" Man, "Rin right?" Rin, "Yes." Man, "I will tell you this. The life that you want. You will never achieve that dream." Rin, "You don't know me." Man, "Oh but I do? You didn't think I wouldn't recognize your smell?" Rin, "What do you want?" Man, "Join me." Rin, "No." Man, "Why not? You're an outcast are you not?" Rin, "I am telling you this right now." Rin's eyes glowed and his hair turned into a different color. Rin, "If you hurt anyone I care about." Man, "You native child. They will never love you or welcome you. You will always be a curse." The man and Rin started to fight. The building shakes. Meanwhile, the manager contacted Kazuto who just got out of work. Kazuto, "Hello? What?!" Kazuto sniffs the air and he transforms into his werewolf form. Men, "Aniki?" Kazuto, "Rin is in danger." Kazuto and his men headed to where Rin was. The man grabbed Rin's neck. Man, "Why aren't you fighting seriously?" Rin, "Rather I am a curse or a blessing is not up to you or society to tell me who I can be." Man, "Don't you understand they will never accept us." Rin thought about the people he loved and cared about. Rin awakens his powers and he is able to break free from the man's grip. The man couldn't keep up with Rin. Rin went into his rampage but he was in control of it. He beats up the man who caused him trouble. The man smiled. Man, "Go ahead…Kill me." Rin stopped himself. Rin, "I can't." Man, "Why not?" Kazuto arrived with his men. Kazuto, "Rin!" Rin had tears rolling down his face. Rin, "I can't kill my own biological father." The man, Kazuto, and Kazuto's men were surprised.
