Chapter 7 - Beautiful Death

As soon as Ram Kirpali dies, Avir loses his grip on his neck but finds himself falling off the cliff.

In that instant, Anaya jumps after him, stretching her hand forward to catch Avir's hand. Avir, deeply gazing into her eyes, pulls her closer into his embrace. Together, they continue plummeting rapidly towards the bottom.

Anaya's face lights up with a smile. Gazing lovingly at Avir, she says, "Dying in your arms feels no less beautiful than a blissful death." Worry clouding his face, Avir responds, "You fool, why did you jump?" Smiling warmly, Anaya replies, "Wherever you are, I'll be there too." Both cut through the mist swirling in the air as they plunge downwards. Just then, a voice echoes in Avir's mind. It was the curse residing within the mark on his hand, saying, "Master! If you wish, you can use my wings to fly. Just think about flying, and they will appear."

Avir tightly holds onto Anaya, focusing his mind on wings. Suddenly, his eyes and the mark on his hand glow a vibrant red, and a pair of red wings appear on his back. These wings, resembling those of a bird, unfurl majestically. Now airborne, Avir and Anaya soar through the sky, with Anaya looking at him in amazement and love.

Flying together amidst the mist-covered mountains, they hold each other close. Anaya continues to gaze at Avir until he returns her smile. But as he looks at her, he recalls something his father had told him, and his expression turns somber. Anaya notices his sadness and gently asks, "What happened? You were smiling a moment ago, and now you look so sad."

Avir looks deeply at Anaya and says, "Anu! Father said that you…" Before he can finish, Anaya places her hand gently over his mouth, speaking tenderly yet firmly, "Yes, I have many secrets, but I cannot reveal them to you yet. Avir, does it matter?" Hearing this, Avir smiles faintly and nods in agreement. Anaya, in a soft, innocent voice, asks, "Avir, how do I look? I mean, how do you find me?" Avir looks at her intently, and Anaya removes her hand from his mouth. Smiling softly, Avir rests his forehead against hers. Both close their eyes, floating together in the air.

The Next Morning

It was time for Avir to leave the palace to resume his training. A crowd had gathered outside the palace, where Anaya and Prithviraj stood by his side. Prithviraj, with a serious expression, addressed Avir, "Son, we've received a response from the Singh family. They are ready for the duel." Hearing this, Avir nods with a grave expression.

Anaya holds Avir's hand, speaking sweetly, "Avir, you're leaving without me. That's not fair! I'll miss you so much." Placing his hand gently on her cheek, Avir replies lovingly, "Silly girl, don't be sad. I'll see you in two months at the strength display competition." Hearing this, Anaya nods tearfully, and Avir's eyes and the mark on his hand glow red once again. A pair of red wings unfurls on his back, and he takes off into the sky at incredible speed.

The onlookers were stunned. Prithviraj's face reflected both amazement and pride, while murmurs rippled through the gathered crowd. One man said, "This is the art of flight!" A nearby girl exclaimed, "Master Avir has become so powerful! How did he learn to fly when he hasn't even become a warrior yet?"

Meanwhile, Anaya, standing with sadness in her eyes, gazed up at the sky and whispered softly, "I'll wait for you… always." Her last words carried a tone of seriousness and resolve.

Anaya stood gazing at the sky with sadness and softly said, "I will wait for you… always." Her final words carried a tone of seriousness.

Avir had been training for a month on the southern Amara Hill in the Valley of Magical Beasts. His soul power had now reached Warrior Mandal Level 3.

The Valley of Magical Beasts was said to hold treasures capable of rapidly enhancing one's strength. Many warriors, fearless of danger, ventured into the valley, but none ever returned; all perished along the way. Yet, people continued to attempt the journey, drawn by the promise of the invaluable Blue Soul Gem that could help a warrior advance beyond their current Mandal level.

Avir was now meditating to increase his soul power. Nearby, a faint, shadowy figure of a girl wandered about like a child, moving here and there. This was the curse residing within the mark on Avir's hand. She could now manifest outside the mark whenever she wanted, but only Avir could see her since she didn't have a physical body yet. Avir had promised her that if she remained loyal to him, he would help her regain her true form.

The curse was playing with trees and small animals, though they couldn't see her. However, she could see and touch them. As she was playing, a stone-skinned elephant appeared nearby and began advancing toward Avir to attack him. Before it could strike, the curse sent a mental warning to Avir, allowing him to dodge in time. He thought to himself, This is a second-tier beast. With my current strength, I can barely handle first-tier beasts. Even if I use the curse's power, I'm not sure I can defeat it.

Thinking this, Avir kept dodging and leaping around to avoid the beast's attacks.

After running for a while, Avir turned to the beast and said, "You haven't given up yet?" At that moment, the beast lunged at him again. Dodging the attack, Avir remarked, "It seems like you won't leave without a good beating." He then shouted at the curse, who was playing with a rabbit, "Curse! Get back inside the mark quickly! I can't handle this anymore!"

Avir then pointed to the sky and said to the beast in a mocking tone, "Hey, look up there!" The elephant, foolishly, turned its gaze upward to look at the sky. Using the distraction, Avir called the curse back once more, and this time, she re-entered the mark on his hand.

While the beast continued staring at the sky, Avir sprinted toward it. His eyes glowed, and with the curse's help, his strength surged to the level of a second-tier Grand Warrior. Raising his hand into the air, a red mist emerged from the glowing mark on his hand, forming into a fiery red sword. The blade resembled molten glass, as if it had just been pulled from a blazing forge.

With the sword in hand, Avir struck the stone elephant, which was still foolishly searching the sky for what Avir had pointed at earlier. The blow landed directly on the beast's tusk, slicing through it effortlessly, as if it were a piece of cheese. The severed tusk fell to the ground with a heavy thud.

A sudden silence enveloped the area. Avir stood still, staring at the elephant, and the elephant slowly turned its gaze toward him. At that moment, Avir heard the curse's voice in his mind, "Master, that was incredible! You really turned the tide, didn't you?" Avir, in a playful tone, replied smugly, "Well, such feats are something I often accomplish."

No sooner had Avir said this than he felt something grab hold of his body. Looking down, he realized he was trapped in the elephant's trunk. Before he could react, the elephant began slamming him onto the ground repeatedly. The beast was furious, though it was unclear whether it was enraged because its tusk had been broken or because it had found nothing in the direction Avir had pointed.

As the elephant pummeled him, Avir groaned, "Hey, elephant brother, why are you so angry? I swear there was something up there when I looked!"

Just as the elephant continued its relentless assault, a sudden and overwhelming aura filled the air. It was so menacing that even the enraged beast froze. Avir could feel the intense pressure emanating from this presence, which seemed to be drawing closer. The elephant, visibly shaken, released Avir and fled the area.

Avir struggled to his feet, wiping the blood trickling from the corner of his mouth. The curse materialized beside him and, with a sly grin, said, "Wow, Master, what a beating you took. That elephant really gave it to you!" Avir shot her a sharp, irritated glance as she laughed. Thanks to his warrior-level strength, Avir's body was tough like stone, so he hadn't sustained any severe injuries.

The oppressive aura grew stronger, increasing the pressure on Avir. Sensing the danger, the curse retreated back into the mark on his hand.

Moments later, Avir noticed a girl flying through the sky. She wore a sleeveless white short dress that reached just above her knees. A cloth belt wrapped around her waist held a golden centerpiece with a blue crystal embedded in it. She was stunningly beautiful, with an allure capable of captivating anyone at first glance. Her long black hair fluttered in the wind as she gracefully flew, passing over Avir in an instant.

Avir, mesmerized, muttered to himself, "What a girl… and what a figure she has."

But who was this mysterious girl, whose very presence caused magical beasts to flee in terror? Could she pose a future threat to Avir? To find out, stay tuned with us!
