As soon as the shadowy figure separated, Celeste collapsed to the ground.
"Now!" Morzan shouted in Ethan's mind.
Ethan didn't know how Morzan had managed to force Doe out of Celeste's body, but he didn't hesitate. With a loud bang, he connected to the Gate of Ascension and unleashed a torrent of pale green Soul Power, following the compressed path he had prepared.
"How is this possible…?" Doe, momentarily stunned, felt the overwhelming surge of Soul Power emanating from Ethan. She had just been forced out of Celeste's body by an immense pressure, and now she was faced with this devastating attack.
Fear gripped her as she turned and lunged toward Celeste, who lay motionless on the ground.
But she was no match for the speed of Ethan's Soul Sense. A beam of pale green energy struck her, piercing through her form and slamming into the mountain wall behind her, leaving a deep crater.
