Overlord led a group of over two hundred toward the outskirts of the small town, but cracks were already forming within his ranks. Members were silently leaving the group one by one, and his attempts to stabilize morale fell flat.
Who could blame them? A team of over a hundred top players, many around Level 7 or 8, had been utterly crushed. Some had even been ambushed and killed at the graveyard, losing at least three levels each.
For the second-string members left in the group, hope was a luxury they couldn't afford. With just over two hundred players, how could they possibly win this fight? Most decided to wait and see, or even quit the guild entirely to protect their gear and experience.
