Winter had no idea when she had fallen asleep, but when Kalix refused to let her go, holding her tightly in his embrace, she eventually gave up her struggle. She had ended up on his lap, and before she knew it, he had flipped them onto the bed, caging her in his arms.
Now, however, she felt like life was being squeezed out of her. His warmth was stifling, making it hard for her to stay still.
"Mm… get off, you heavy bear," Winter muttered sleepily, trying to push away the weight pressing her down. Instead, she only got more tangled in his hold.
Her eyes fluttered open, adjusting to the dim light as she turned her head toward the culprit who refused to release her.
"Why is he so heavy when his body looks so lean and deceptively attractive?" She mumbled, frowning at Kalix, who remained fast asleep.
She narrowed her eyes, scrutinizing him. He had claimed he had trouble sleeping yet here he was, clinging to her like a koala, looking completely at ease.
