[Penthouse]
After attending to his calls, Kalix returned and resumed his work. He purposely avoided conversation, even though he was well aware that Winter was paying close attention to him.
He could feel her gaze on him the entire time. Curious, questioning, waiting.
'Should I just ask him what's going on? Or should I let it go?' Winter pondered, absentmindedly scrolling through her phone. But in truth, her focus was entirely on him.
Suddenly, an idea struck her. Tossing her phone aside, she stretched her arms lazily and sighed.
"I'm hungry," she announced, finally catching Kalix's attention.
He looked at her and immediately reached for his phone. "I'll inform Butler James to bring lunch to the room."
But Winter stopped him. "No need. I'll have it in my room or, better yet, at the dining table. Sitting here doing nothing is annoying."
She turned, attempting to climb down from the bed, but Kalix was quick to stop her.
