Chapter 16 - First Night in the New House

{Guys I have really been trying to get this chapter out for days now. I ended up at the dentist having a couple of teeth worked on and I have been taking care of my wife who has just been sent back to the hospital today. Sorry for the late chapter and I will try to keep putting them out at least once a day now that I am better.}

*Axel's POV*

AS the sleek black limousine pulled up to my new home I kept my eyes on the girls who were all smooshed against the windows looking out at the house. Shaking my head as the car stopped I was about to open the door when like a flash of lightning all three women were out the limo and at the front door to the house with a fervor I hadn't seen in anyone.

Stepping out of the car I finally took in my new house. Truthfully the word house doesn't do this place justice. It would be better to say small mansion then a big house. It was tall at least 3 stories without the attic. Being built out of large stone pieces the outside had a castle like vibe to it while the inside was sleek and futuristic.

Walking into the entrance of the mansion I saw the sleek futuristic design that even put my last worlds most advanced themes to shame. The polished marble floor was a rich blue color that seemed to give life to the room. Every wall had shifting scenes of what seemed to be heroic stories or fables of old. Beautiful vases were placed around with delicate blue rose bouquets in them.

The white and blue throw rugs adorning the floor made the whole place seem to just come together. After looking around the room I noticed a few individuals that I hadn't noticed beforehand. Slightly startled I was about to speak when Byron Beat me to it.

"I assume you have all been hired by the city lord to work here?" Byron asked with an edge to his tone to which the 3 people shook there heads.

"No sir we are entirely dedicated to this home and the person who owns it. Mr. Maladay had paid our wages to work here for a life time. Sadly he passed away before we could truly serve him." The older gentleman said while gesturing to the two women dressed in maids attire.

"My name is Jeeves and these two lovely young ladies are my daughters Laurel and Lauren." With a proud smile on his face he introduced us to the two young women standing slightly behind him. The pair for their part curtsied and bowed there heads to us in deference.

"Well I would like to say thank you before hand then. I am new to this world and will be trying to learn as much as possible from you all." I spoke up as I saw that Byron was looking at me. I could tell that he wanted my input on the three.

Silvara jumped in next speaking quickly but politely. "Hello you three, you will be seeing a lot of me and these two ladies. We will be here to help Axel as much as possible. So please look after us as we will be in your care." She spoke sweetly but I could see her subtly trying to block me from the two young women.

I will admit the two are strikingly beautiful, but I just met them. I am not going to go run off and eat up to women just because they are pretty. At the same time though I could see the possessiveness she was displaying towards me. It warmed my heart a bit to see it. What caught me off guard is when Mia and Leah joined her in trying to block the view of me from the women and vise versa.

'What the hell is going on?' I thought to myself confused by their actions.

Byron seemingly taking the thoughts right from my head asked," What the hell is going on?"

Looking over after hearing his voice all 5 women looked at him like a piece of trash for stopping there conversation. Even Jeeves was looking at his daughters like he was seeing two different people in there places.

Shaking my head and walking forward passed everyone I started exploring the house for myself. The Kitchen was large and had a few different appliances that I didn't understand but still it looked pretty awesome. Moving on the Livingroom had an almost theater like ambiance to it. Finding out from Jeeves that is was the theater lounge. Apparently there are seven different lounges in total.

There is obviously the Theatre Lounge, the Aqua Lounge, The Jungle Lounge, The Entertainment Lounge, The Grass Lounge, The Artic Lounge, and The Scorching Lounge. Each lounge had a controller powered by the ambient mana in the air. Jeeves also said that the majority of the rooms have never been used.

"It truly is a shame that Mr. Maladay never used these rooms. I had asked him once for the reason why and he just said they will be put to use eventually. Not to much longer after that day he passed away." Said Jeeves with a reminiscent look in his eye.

Not knowing what to say I just nodded my head in understanding. I could tell the man really had a good impression on the man that built this house. Moving towards where I thought the dinning room would be I stepped through the doors to find the girls already seated around a large table. Byron had slipped away at some point. Since I had already asked the girls to stay for the night I wasn't to surprised.

Looking around the room I saw a beautiful chandelier hanging over the table. On the side of the room it looked as if a table was there specifically for animals to eat from. Weird. Leah, Mia, and Silvara were talking animatedly as I approached the three.

"Axel was so heroic when I first saw him but I was a little hesitant to talk to him at first which made me leave a bad first impression. I was snapping at him like some young lady, I never acted like that my entire life. It was mortifying but thankfully he is a pretty nice guy and we ended up getting through the misunderstanding quickly." Said Silvara as she lowered her head slightly while remembering that horrible day.

"It was just a misunderstanding that worked itself out in the end. I am just happy to have met someone so lovely." I spoke up with a smile on my face as I watched the three ladies turn towards me with surprised looks on their faces.

"Axel, you shouldn't sneak up on people like that. Anyways how was the rest of the house did you see all of the lounges?" Silvara asked after she calmed down for a moment.

I nodded my head as I walked towards the head of the table. "This home is so much more then I thought it was going to be. I feel like I could never fill it all the way. With just Lozen and I living here it will feel quite lonely. Well I guess Jeeves and hos daughters will be here too."

"Ahh, a slight correction to that sir. Myself and my daughters will be living in the servants abode at the back of the estate." Jeeves broke in after I had finished talking. I don't even know when he had shown up behind me but I wasn't worried about it he had only good vibes coming off of him.

"Well, well, well, I guess that means mister man over here will be living all alone in this big house that has oh so many rooms in it. Tell me Jeeves how many rooms are in the home in total?" Mia said with a lilt in her voice. I swear this girl just always had a teasing and sweet tone.

"Well miss if I had to take a guess it would be 20 bedrooms on total with the top floor of the Mansion is the Master Bedroom taking the entire floor with its own bathroom and lounge accompanying it." Jeeves spoke with a formal tone in his voice. Once again I could tell he has taken great pride in this estate.

I grinned at Jeeves and watched as Mia was about to speak again the twins brought in some food for dinner. Walking up to me they spoke in sync with each other.

"Master we made a pork steaks harvested from the Giant Succulent Boar from the Ruinton Forest. Accompanying the pork is strengthening fruit salad with a second side of diced and baked potatoes that have a mind clearing property that will help you relax after the long day you have had."

The food was a delicious smelling and I couldn't wait to dig in. I had to actually hold myself back from jumping out of my seat to eat it all.

*Growl*

I even heard Lozen's stomach growl as she morphed to a bigger size and sat next to me waiting for the dinner.

Looking over at Lozen the twins laughed before walking back out of the room. Not even 30 seconds later they brought in a whole roasted boar and put it on the table meant for beast to feed at.

"For our dear Lozen we have prepared a whole roasted baby Giant Succulent Boar as we could not fit even an adolescent through the doors." The twins spoke with pride that they had roasted the boar and I couldn't blame them.

Lozen looked at me and I nodded and she morphed to an even bigger size and bit half of the boar off and seemed to savor the taste.

I turned back to our group to see everyone staring at me. With a raised brow I asked," What is everyone looking at?"

"Axel it is customary for the head of the house to have the first bite." Said Leah with a small smile tugging at her lips.

I looked towards Jeeves and saw him and the twins standing off to the side I raised a brow. Jeeves just nodded his head misunderstanding me but I just left it alone. I looked to the twins and said in a voice that brokered no argument.

"Girls I will not have you two standing there watching us eat. I know your father is probably a stubborn man but you two will sit down and join us for our meal."

The two were startled by my words but quickly sat down and dished themselves a portion. From the corner of my eye I saw Jeeves smile slightly before I lifted my fork dug into the food with gusto. I couldn't resist anymore.

With my mouth half full of food I spoke," This is so good! My compliments to the chef or chefs!" After that though I just dug in until I ate three whole portions before I was full. I listened to the girls talk as we ate. The thing that struck me the most was that I kept hearing something about them moving in but I just kind of brushed that aside. I was just trying to stuff my face.
