While Maelynn was feeling suspicious of this so-called practicals that her Maternal Aunt never mentioned, Henry clapped his hands.
Like thunder startling the innocent chicks, most of the standing examinees in the room squirmed. Maelynn glanced at Henry before turning to stare at the examination room's door.
As she expected, the door knob turned and Espers started entering the door.
Following their leaders, the Espers stayed closed to their own teams and stared at the squirming new Guides with interest.
The arriving Espers, young and handsome, made most the new Guides in the room blushed and hold their breath. While Maelynn and the two others blatantly stared at the Espers with inquiring gazes, unaffected by their charms.
"Examinees, as you can see, these are our practical dummies." Henry clapped his hands and Maelynn's neck almost snapped at how fast her head turned to dumbfoundly stare at him.
"Henry darling, why are you handling this new Guides' practicals?" After the Espers settled to their own corners, an Association employee entered.
'An Esper. A famous one at that.' Maelynn recognized the man's famous smirk.
Adar Fonta. An A-level Esper who can manipulate the Earth, known for his realibility inside the portals.
"Ugh. Of all the people who they can send to supervise the Espers, it just have to be you." Henry grimaced, clicking his tongue.
Another thing that made Adar Fonta famous is his high-level way of pursuing male and female Guides alike.
'And it looks like Henry is his target today.' Maelynn blinked.
'Well... This is a BL world, after all.'
"It's also a pleasure meeting you today, dear Henry." Adar grinned before looking at the restless Espers and the fidgetting Guides.
"Good day, lovely new Guides. I'm Adar, and I'll be supervising the Espers for this practicals." Adar lowered his voice as to not scare the women.
"If an Esper here dare to cross your boundaries while you're guiding them, don't hesitate to push, slap, or slam your fist to their faces. I'll have your backs." Adar playfully assured, patting his chest.
Henry, who was steering away from Adar, then added: " Examinees, the Espers here today are from the association, new graduates who have experienced their first portal. All of you can start guiding them now. Do your best. If you feel like you've reach your limit, please pull back and call the other examinees waiting in line in the lounge so they can replace you. Do not worry, all your doings are recorded and will be evaluated by veteran Guides."
After saying his piece, Henry walked away from Adar and stood afar, only giving encouraging nods to the new Guides.

Maelynn felt the awkwardness eminating from her fellow examinees. Even she felt a little awkward.
She knows guiding an Esper is inevitable for her, considering her Grade, (and her role in the novel) but she didn't know she would be doing this so soon.
'There was a reason Maternal Aunt was so adamant about me taking these exam.'
Sighing, Maelynn decided to move first considering that none of her fellows have the courage to start. She controlled her guiding power, probing around who's team have the most severe overclock.
After sensing a team with the most overclocked members, she walked to their direction.
Sitting around the second to the last table in the far right corner of the examination room were a team of five Espers. She didn't know their Grades but she did know how their powers were overclocking.
Among all the Esper teams in the room, their severity is the highest. Maelynn knew the other Guides wouldn't be able to handle them, so she might as well do it.
As she approach the team, murmurs of the surrounding Espers and their curious glances were thrown at her.
Seeing someone braving through and taking the first step, the nervous examinees begun moving to their own choices of teams.
