Sherlyn's face twisted in anger, her carefully crafted façade cracking right in front of me. But I wasn't done playing yet.
"You—" she started, her voice shaking with fury.
I raised an eyebrow. "Me what?"
She clenched her fists, her perfectly manicured nails digging into her palms. It was almost satisfying to see her lose her composure. Almost.
"You're still the same," she spat, her voice dripping with venom. "Acting all high and mighty, thinking you're better than everyone just because you were born with money."
I crossed my arms, tilting my head slightly. "Oh? That's interesting coming from you, Sherlyn. Considering you spent years pretending to be my friend just so you could leech off that money."
Her face turned red.
"You have no idea what you're talking about," she hissed.
