"Grandpa, you have all the things you want, and there are many people who can buy things I can't buy for you. So, I thought of giving you something thoughtful, something special," I said nervously, my voice trembling slightly.
With little anxiety, I began explaining, "These coins each have a special date on them. The first coin is your and Grandma's wedding date."
Everyone's eyes widened in surprise as I started speaking.
"Sweetheart, how thoughtful of you," Aunt Fiona said with a smile.
Giving her a small smile in return, I continued, "The second coin has the date when Dad was born.." as a start explaining everybody listen carefully .
" The third is, of course, Aunt Fiona's birthday. "
" Of course I am the most important one" said aunt Fiona and everybody laugh at her words. Smiling myself I continued.
"Then, there's the date of your first wedding anniversary. After that, the date Noah was born. And lastly, the date of Connor's birth."
