"Xiang Jianjun?"

From a distance, Chen Feng raised an eyebrow as he saw the personnel from the Safety Bureau entering the jewelry store.

One of them looked familiar from the side—he was the middle-aged man who had handled the supermarket robbery case last night.

I wonder if those two punks confessed...

Chen Feng stood still for a moment, regretting that he didn't get contact details last night to follow up on the case.

"Let's go. The Safety Bureau's here, there's no point staying."

Lin Hao said with a shake of his head, seemingly disappointed.

Chen Feng didn't linger, as the martial arts class was about to start, and he didn't want to be late.

Thud thud!

The sound of footsteps echoed.

The two quickly changed into their training clothes in the martial arts school's locker room and walked into the training area.

"The jewelry store was actually robbed? That's ridiculous."

"The robbers' backpacks were full of gold. How much is that worth?"

"Even with money, you've got to have your life to spend it. I think someone got shot earlier."

The news of the robbery at the jewelry store was a hot topic, and many students were discussing it.

Among them was Xu Dongtai, standing by the large window with a frown on his face, looking quite grim.

"Interesting," Lin Hao paused in his steps, suddenly smiling to himself.

Chen Feng was puzzled, but Lin Hao smirked and said, "I heard Xu Dongtai's family has some connections."

"That jewelry store downstairs—his family recently used some means to buy a small stake in it..."

Chen Feng was first surprised, then realized. No wonder Xu Dongtai looked so gloomy, and his sidekick Zhou Xin was unusually quiet, not daring to make a sound.

The loss from the jewelry store robbery was definitely substantial—probably at least a few million.

However...

Chen Feng glanced at Lin Hao, who looked indifferent, and was again surprised by how well-informed the guy was.

Whether it was about the core student matter from last time or the intel on Xu Dongtai's family background, it was clear that Lin Hao wasn't an ordinary person.

"Why are you looking at me?" Lin Hao asked, sensing Chen Feng's gaze.

"Your information sources are pretty extensive, huh?" Chen Feng asked cautiously.

"Heh, is that so?"

"Such a small matter, just ask around, anyone would know." Lin Hao grinned.

Chen Feng realized Lin Hao didn't want to say more and didn't press the issue.

The two continued to the corner of the training area to practice their moves.

Coach Lu walked over right on time, just as the sparring class was about to begin.

As usual, he glanced at Xu Dongtai, who was pounding the punching bag with ferocity, causing the bag to shake. Coach Lu shook his head.

"With an unsettled mind, the punches can never be straight."

After a brief thought, he figured out the reason but didn't say anything more.

Soon, his attention turned to Zheng Qiang and Yu Shan.

"Just barely an amateur third-dan... still a long way to go."

"His comprehension isn't great either. Seems like he's hit a bottleneck."

He shook his head slightly before his gaze shifted to Chen Feng in the corner.

Jab, uppercut, chop...

The sound of whistling punches filled the air. Although the movements were not too loud, they carried a calm confidence.

"This kid..."

"Why does it feel like his sanda skills have improved?"

"Plus, his physique... he's gotten a bit stronger... Could it be that he's finally unlocked his potential?"

Coach Lu raised an eyebrow, becoming even more certain of his guess.

His eyes gleamed with interest, but he didn't approach immediately. Instead, he clapped his hands, drawing everyone's attention.

"Today's class will focus on sparring practice."

"We'll now assign partners."

His voice resonated powerfully, and no one dared to object.

Sanda is a combat sport, and no amount of practice compares to real fighting.

Therefore, every few days, Coach Lu would arrange a sparring session to assess everyone's progress.

"Xu Dongtai and Yu Shan."

"Zhang Ping and Fang Yuan."

...

Soon, pairs of names were announced by Coach Lu. Some students' eyes lit up, while others sighed and shook their heads.

"Damn it, I'm the one getting beaten again."

A tall youth cursed under his breath, pulling his gaze away from Xu Dongtai.

He thought the coach would pair him with Zheng Qiang, as he was more resilient and closer in strength to Xu Dongtai.

Thinking this, he almost called out to Zheng Qiang.

"Zheng..."

"Zheng Qiang, Chen Feng!"

Suddenly, Coach Lu spoke again, interrupting him.

The training area fell silent, and the tall youth was stunned. In the distance, Xu Dongtai narrowed his eyes.

"What's going on?"

"Zheng Qiang and Chen Feng?"

People couldn't believe it and turned to look at Chen Feng in the corner with astonished expressions.

"Shouldn't it be me?" Lin Hao asked, equally surprised, glancing at his companion.

He had always been the one sparring with Chen Feng, right?

A novice versus a novice, isn't that how it goes?

The crowd was filled with confusion, and after a few seconds of silence, murmurs started to rise.

Eventually, a disgruntled voice spoke up.

"Coach Lu, did you make a mistake?"

Everyone turned to look.

Zheng Qiang stood in the first row on the left side, wearing a black vest, his body well-built, and his skin like bronze.

Unlike his usual calm demeanor, his face was clearly displeased.

Although he was a bit weaker than Xu Dongtai, he was still an amateur third-dan, a skilled fighter.

And Chen Feng?

He glanced at the corner, where Chen Feng was standing.

Though he hadn't paid much attention to him before, based on his talent, he figured Chen Feng was probably just a beginner in sanda.

Sparring with him?

Not only would it be embarrassing if he won, but he would have to hold back, control his strength, to avoid seriously injuring the kid.

This wasn't sparring—this was a joke.

"Yes, it's you and Chen Feng."

Coach Lu's tone was calm as he glanced at him.

He knew these kids were proud and likely hadn't noticed Chen Feng's progress.

It was normal not to see through his sanda skills.

But this would be a good opportunity to test them and see where Chen Feng stood now.

"Coach!"

Zheng Qiang shouted in protest, wanting to argue.

He would rather spar with Xu Dongtai. At least there, he could fight seriously and test his own limits, rather than beating someone with no challenge.

"Do what I say. No more complaining!"

Coach Lu snapped, his expression stern, his aura imposing.

Immediately, the crowd shrank back, too intimidated to speak.

Zheng Qiang closed his mouth, not daring to protest.

"Fine, I'll do it."

He strode to a nearby spot, claiming an area for sparring.

His face showed dissatisfaction, and he was clearly annoyed, but soon raised his right arm, extended his hand, curled his four fingers, and waved provocatively at Chen Feng.

"Come on, let's give it a try."

"I won't go easy on you. If you get hurt, pay for your own hospital bills—don't expect me to take any responsibility!"

His tone was full of provocation, but Chen Feng said nothing. He didn't even respond to Lin Hao beside him.

He simply walked forward, stopping in the midst of the gazes of those watching, and took his position.

"Alright."

Chen Feng responded calmly, his voice steady, clearly unfazed by the challenge.

His perception ability allowed him to sense Zheng Qiang's hostility.

It was mostly annoyance, with some disdain and arrogance in his eyes.

But it didn't matter.

He would make him submit.
