Kira's POV
We trained for about an hour more before Mira finally left. Before she left she dropped a warning message.
"Do not be fooled by an alpha"
That was her parting words.
I went into my room and lay on the bed looking up at the ceiling, but my mind was elsewhere.
"I kept replaying everything that had happened in my mind. Mira seemed determined to make me hate Ryker, but everything he had done for me was nothing but good. Hating him? I wasn't sure I could."
But I still couldn't take away the thought that she might be right about everything she had just said.
My stomach rumbled. I was hungry, but I didn't even have the energy to stand up to make something to eat, not because of the stress of the training but because of the stress of everything that was on my mind.
The fact that Ryker had not even bothered to check on me since I saw him and the female alpha was suspicious. It wasn't helping my disbelief.
