With a throbbing headache, Zhou Wei woke up. He rubbed his forehead, as his eyes fluttered open. Memories of what happened before he passed out flashed in his mind, making him clear awake.
He gasped and touched his chest, remembering the wound he had received on it. Frowning, he looked down when he felt no wounds there.
"What happened?"
He wondered. Was it all a dream? But that shouldn't be the case since he was still in this scrawny body, reeking of weakness.
"You woke up?"
Zhou Wei almost jumped in motion hearing the voice beside him, but his body was too weak to react so quickly. He fell on his butt, and quickly searched for the source of voice.
A cat with smooth black furs was sitting beside him, and looking at him with hints of amusement in her eyes. Zhou Wei raised an eyebrow, not much surprised by her appearance and asked, "Did you save me?"
"Yeah, aren't I awesome? Be grateful and become my disciple now."
Zhou Wei was speechless, as he assessed the black cat again. She looked so ordinary but he got a bad feeling from her so he kept his guard up.
"Why?"
"What do you mean, why?"
"Why did you save me?"
Zhou Wei asked, as he sat up properly. He had already assimilated with the memories of the young slave and knew who and where he was.
His name was Zhou Wei in this world, a young slave of Tang Clan who they had bought when he was young. He worked hard and earnestly there, despite the insults and humiliation he faced.
Unfortunately, one day the young master of Tang Clan decided that he wanted to be a Man. Naturally, the retainers of Tang Clan didn't want to let the opportunity slip so one of them offered the idea of killing someone.
According to them, a man could kill their opponent without batting an eye so as long as Tang San killed someone, he would become a man. But the young master's Cultivation was too low and he was also spoiled so he couldn't kill anyone powerful.
So they had selected a random, powerless and worthless slave to kill. And that was Zhou Wei. Naturally, the weak slave couldn't resist and died when they were beating him up first.
That was when he had transmigrated into his body. Unfortunately, as soon as he opened his eyes Tang San was already upon him with his blade. His instincts had saved his heart from being pierced but it has still killed him.
Now that he think about it, his survival was impossible. So how did this car manage to save him?
Although he was grateful for her to save his life, he wanted to know why she saved him first. After all, it was a Cultivation world and none of the cultivation world were safe.
There had to be a reason why she helped him.
"That's a good question. Sadly, you'll get no answers from me, not yet atleast."
The car yawned and stood up on her four small limbs. Coming closer to Zhou Wei, she continued.
"All I can tell you is that I've saved your life at the cost of my own. You were already dead the moment I got there so I had to use a forbidden technique of my Ancestors. See that Rune on your chest? That's a sign of that technique."
Zhou Wei looked down at his chest. Sure enough, there was a Rune carved near his heart and it pulsated with a strange dark glow. He touched it and instantly felt a connection with the cat.
It was a strange feeling, as if he was directly connected to her mind and could check up on her and her thoughts. He blinked and asked.
"Did you perhaps bond with me?"
"Yes, that was the only way to save you. I had to use my own Cultivation base and life force to save you, so be grateful brat."
The cat snorted, as she stopped before him.
"But I don't understand why would you go so far for an stranger?"
"It's a gamble. You have something which might help me in future so I decided to save you. I just want you to help me in future and we're even."
Zhou Wei considered the offer for a while before asked.
"What if it includes giving up my life?"
"You were already going to die, brat. Also, you're thinking too much. I need you to be extremely powerful and only then you can help me."
She sighed and jumped over him, landing on his shoulder. She comfortably sat there and said.
"Our lives are connected so if you die, I will also did so be careful. I will help you in other things as I'm your master, but you'll have to grow stronger by yourself."
"When did you become my master?"
"Or what? You want to be my master? Sure, why don't you try it?"
Saying that, the car released a powerful aura which made Zhou Wei almost fall. She retracted it quickly and said.
"Work hard. It'll be beneficial for both of us. Don't you want to get your revenge on those people who killed you?"
Zhou Wei didn't answer immediately, as he considered his options. He was a soldier in his previous life, and one of the best in that. Unfortunately, he died because of guns and number advantage.
He hated that and wanted to be so powerful that even if the world was against him, with the most powerful Artefacts, he could still win. That was his goal and he would attain it in this Cultivation world where he could become an immortal and roam the Earth.
This was a land which blessed the strongest. This was where he wanted to be, so that he could become the strongest being there is.
His eyes burned with determination and resolve, as something unknown to him broke inside him. He clenched his fist and grinned, "Of course, I'm going to take
my revenge. I will kill them all and bring their clan to dust for trying to kill me."
