The engagement

Chapter Two

A sunlit, opulent bedroom with soft ivory walls and gold accents serves as the stage. The room is adorned with intricate chandeliers dripping with crystals, a plush cream carpet underfoot, and floor-to-ceiling windows framed by flowing silk curtains. An ornate vanity with a large, gilded mirror is cluttered with high-end makeup and perfume bottles, each a masterpiece in itself.

Clara, the heiress of the Wilson family, a striking young woman with flawless skin and sleek blonde hair, stands in the center of the room. She's radiant in a blush-colored gown with intricate beadwork and a dramatic train that pools at her feet. Diamond earrings catch the light, complementing her understated yet glamorous makeup. Her demeanor exudes confidence but is softened by an air of nervous excitement.

Her best friend Jacqueline, a bubbly and equally stylish counterpart in a shimmering emerald dress, adjusts the engagement ring on her finger and fusses over the placement of the veil. She has a warm, supportive energy, her chatter and laughter filling the space. Now and then, she offers words of encouragement, ensuring her friend feels every bit the princess she looks like.

The room buzzes with excitement as the final preparations for the grand evening unfold, a mix of friendship, glamour, and anticipation defining the moment.

"Thank you so much, Jack. Without you here, I don't think I can do this. My nervousness disappeared in the air, I'm so excited that finally, Isaac and I are getting engaged."

"I'm your best friend, after all; it's only right that I help you with these things. It's my duty."

"Not every friend is as nice as you are; during my sad days, yes, you have always been my backbone."

"Girls, enough of the emotional discussion. The guests are waiting for you, darling. I'm so happy for my precious daughter." Susan her mother said, her eyes flickered with emotions.
