Chapter 13 - Chapter 13: The Heart of the Mountain

After the battle, the cavern fell silent. The faint glow from the crystals along the walls illuminated the space, casting an ethereal light over Lena and Aria. They had done it—defeating the guardians of the Earth Stone was no small feat.

But the Stone was still out of reach.

Ahead of them, nestled deep in the heart of the cavern, was a large stone pedestal. Atop it rested the Stone of Earth, glowing with a vibrant, verdant light, as if it pulsed with the very life of the world itself. Lena stepped forward, her heart racing. She could feel its power drawing her in, urging her to claim it.

As she reached out to touch the Stone, a low rumble filled the cavern once again. The stone beneath her feet shifted, and before her stood a massive figure—a towering stone titan, its body made of the very rock and earth that surrounded them.

The titan's eyes glowed like molten lava, and its voice echoed in the cavern, deep and rumbling. "To claim the Stone of Earth, you must prove your heart is pure and your resolve unshakable."

Lena froze, feeling the weight of the titan's words. This was no simple task. The Stone of Earth demanded more than just strength—it demanded understanding, balance, and the purity of intent.

"Why do you seek the Stone?" the titan asked, its voice like a storm.

Lena took a deep breath, her fingers brushing the smooth surface of the Stone. She looked up at the titan, her heart steady now. "To save my world. To stop the Shadewraith from spreading darkness across Elandra. To protect everything I love."

The titan studied her for a long moment, its eyes narrowing as it seemed to weigh her words. Then, with a great roar, it stepped aside, its massive form parting like the earth itself yielding to her.

"You have proven your worth," the titan said. "Take the Stone, and may it guide you on your path."

Lena reached forward and took the Stone of Earth in her hands. The moment her fingers made contact, a surge of energy coursed through her, more powerful than anything she had felt before. It was the strength of the earth itself, the pulse of the world's heart, and it filled her with a deep, unshakable resolve.

With all three Stones now in her possession—Fire, Water, and Earth—Lena felt a surge of power unlike anything she had ever known. But she knew that the final trial awaited her. The Shadewraith was still out there, his shadow growing ever closer.

It was time to face him.
