Lena stumbled forward, disoriented. The ground beneath her feet was soft, almost like moss, and the air smelled of something sweet and wild. She looked around, her breath caught in her throat. The forest was unlike anything she had ever seen. Towering trees with bark that shimmered like liquid silver, leaves glowing faintly with a blue hue. Strange creatures flitted in and out of the shadows, their wings beating the air with a soft hum.
She looked down and found herself no longer wearing her jeans and t-shirt, but a flowing gown of deep violet, embroidered with intricate patterns she couldn't recognize. A silver chain was draped around her neck, and the pendant at the center glowed softly in the twilight of the forest.
"What... where am I?" she whispered.
"Welcome to Elandra," a voice said behind her.
Lena spun around. Standing a few feet away was the figure from the mirror—a tall woman with long, flowing hair the color of moonlight, her silver cloak billowing around her. She had the same ethereal smile, the same knowing gaze.
"I am Aria," the woman said, bowing slightly. "And you, Lena, are the Chosen One."
