Xenon received a golden key to his room.
The Silver Crane Inn truly lived up to its reputation as the number one inn in Tazar City.
The inn was built entirely from Redwood, a rare and extraordinary type of wood found only in Hound Forest. Due to the intense spiritual energy within that dangerous forest, Redwood became so dense that it was fireproof and even harder than steel.
However, harvesting Redwood was no simple task. One had to venture deep into Hound Forest, facing hordes of Tier 1 demonic beasts—and in some cases, even battling Tier 2 demonic beasts. That was why it was astonishing to see an entire building constructed from such a material.
Xenon and his companions climbed to the fifth floor, where their room was located. Upon arrival, Xenon inserted the golden key into the lock and pushed the door open.
As soon as the door swung wide, a surge of powerful spiritual energy washed over him. It was at least three times stronger than the energy outside.
"This is a Level 1 Spiritual Energy Array, Young Master," Tarra remarked as she examined the formation.
She could clearly see the array, which took the shape of a square and enveloped the entire room. However, Xenon and Iris were unable to perceive it—Xenon due to his low cultivation realm, and Iris simply because she was an ordinary person.
Xenon nodded in acknowledgment before stepping inside.
The room was spacious, featuring one main bedroom and five smaller ones, as well as a kitchen and even a balcony that overlooked Tazar City.
Turning to Iris, Xenon spoke. "I'll be in seclusion for two weeks, so don't disturb me. Use this time to learn how to cook and wash clothes."
"Okay, I will learn," Iris replied earnestly.
Xenon then faced Tarra.
"Young Master, here is the Spatial Pouch containing the loot I gathered from a Tier 3 demonic beast," Tarra reported.
"Good," Xenon said, his face lighting up with excitement. "Now, I will begin my seclusion. Tarra, stay here and guard the room."
"Yes, Young Master!" Tarra responded respectfully.
Inside his bedroom, Xenon opened the Spatial Pouch and retrieved three eggs belonging to a Tier 3 magical beast. The body of the slain Tier 3 beast was also stored within the pouch—it would make a fine meal later.
"These eggs contain an immense amount of spiritual energy," he mused. "If sold in the market, they would be worth millions of gold coins."
He examined one of the eggs, then carefully cracked the top and drank its contents.
The moment the liquid entered his body, an overwhelming surge of spiritual energy coursed through him. Even while simply sitting in his room, it felt as though he were meditating beneath a massive waterfall!
Xenon closed his eyes and began circulating the energy throughout his body.
Within moments, he felt a powerful surge—his cultivation had broken through to Martial Apprentice Stage 5!
And yet, the flow of energy did not diminish. He was ecstatic—this was only the first egg, and he still had two left!
Focusing on stabilizing the newly absorbed energy, Xenon then prepared to push for another breakthrough.
The sun set, then rose again. Time seemed to pass in the blink of an eye.
Two weeks had flown by.
Xenon's eyes slowly opened. His body had undergone a dramatic transformation—more refined, exuding a commanding aura. It felt as if he had been reborn.
In just two weeks, using the three eggs, he had reached Martial Apprentice Stage 9!
The speed of his progress was almost mythical. If anyone heard of this, they would scarcely believe it.
Normally, absorbing such powerful eggs would leave behind impurities, making cultivation unstable. Yet for Xenon, the impurities were nearly nonexistent.
Perhaps it was due to his extraordinary talent.
A talent worthy of being called a child of heaven.
