Camila vomited out blood as she was instantly knocked into the wall, leaving an imprint that matched her body.
She also had a massive hole in her chest, one that quickly reformed as if nothing ever happened.
"Oh? Regeneration too? Oh damn, guess this won't be too easy." Helen began to stretch her neck and arms, grinning ear to ear like a mad woman.
"You cocky little shit. You dare ruin my dress!" Camila huffed, dusting off her once beautiful gothic dress that now had a hole in it.
"I just bought it today!" She then raised her hand, controlling the blood on the floor to become a scythe as she pointed it at Helen, her eyes flaring red.
Camila lunged at Helen, slicing horizontally as the scythe produced a small wave of sharpened blood aimed directly at the blonde, who managed to somersault over it.
Then, with this momentum, she kicked Camilla in the face, landing on her feet as she laughed. All those times watching those shows and reading books really did pay off.
That and begging for that random goddess to grant her immense knowledge and skill of martial arts.
It was probably that which paid off more.
The Baroness, however, would not be so easily defeated. She twirled her blade around, slashing and stabbing at Helen, aiming at her feet and neck, trying to get the heroine to trip.
Helen, on the other hand, kept on dodging her like job application acceptances used to dodge her.
She weaved, jumped, and even managed to sweep Camila's leg, causing her to fall down with a thud.
A haughty laugh echoed throughout the lobby. Helen was having much too fun.
"Can you hear that? Oh wait you can't hear anything because of my theme song's playing! Wooo! I should probably have a power like that soon."
"You should learn to be quiet!" Camila yelled out, pointing her finger towards Helen as a blast of blood shot out towards her with the speed of a bullet.
Helen only had a moment of a second to react, already distracted by her own power and grace, she narrowly dodged the beam that threatened to puncture her face in, only receiving a small cut on her cheek that quickly healed.
"Oh… shit- you have more ranged attacks, alright, no biggie-" The blonde then jumped to the left as the beam of blood that Camila shot out transformed into a spear that tried to skewer her.
"Uhm, okay, so uh, full blood manipulation over her own blood… that's good to know." Helen muttered to herself.
"I was trying to grant you a quick death, but it appeared that you can't do anything but run your mouth as you do your legs! So instead I shall make this as painful and as unbearable as possible!"
The baroness flew up into the air, letting go of the spear and scythe as she manipulated them both into becoming numerous arrows that rained down onto Helen.
"Oh yeah? Well ,two can play at that game!" Helen jumped into the air, activating her flight and narrowly avoiding getting skewered.
She then placed her hands together. "Luminous Blaze!"
A great amount of energy is then concentrated into the palms of her hand before it's fired out in the form of a yellow blast that soared into the air and into Camila.
Luckily, the baroness managed to call back her blood arrows, converting them into a shield that was just sturdy enough to withstand the blast.
"Luminous Punch!"
Helen coated her fist in her ethereal-like energy, punching through the blood shield in one quick blow before connecting to Camila's face, caving it in and sending the baroness flying into the metal wall once again.
"Haha, take a gander at that now, will you? Got any more tricks up your sleeve?"
Her eyes glowed gold as she stared directly at Camila, giggling with excitement. It's the first time since she got here that she was in a proper fight.
It was simply exhilarating. She could feel her heart pound and her head filled with intense energy. The only other time it felt like this was when she kissed Simon.
But that's probably just because of the energy sharing and nothing else, of course. It definitely also wasn't her first proper kiss or anything, no, of course not…
"Yes… I do actually!"
Camilla fired back. She stretched out her hand as suddenly, all across Helen's body, the small specks of blood that were there ever since she broke the shield punctured her skin.
Intense pain flared up through Helen, causing her to double over as the blood started to carve through her whole body as if she were being sliced by several knives.
"Haha, finally! You will die right here and now, carved up like a cow sent to be slaughtered!"
The baroness laughed, cackling at the pain she was causing Helen. Just as she promised, she would make it as painful as possible.
"Ahhhh oh no!"
Then, Helen's body exploded in a pulse of radiant light, vaporizing the blood from her body.
A smile crept on her face.
"Anyway~"
She gave the stunned baroness a little wink before moving so fast it appeared that she teleported in front of her.
"Special Move! Barrage of Lights!"
Helen then began to assault Camila with numerous punches imbued with light, moving so fast that it began to outpace her regeneration until she delivered one last punch to the vampire's face, knocking her into the ground ,causing a massive crater, and knocking her out.
The light soon faded from the blonde's body as she sighed and sat on the ground beside the unconscious vampire, her hair turning back to black.
"Hehe… I wonder how Simon is doing…"
Then, without anything else left to do, she collapsed right next to Camila, looking up at the sky with a smile.
