So far, you've read:
As soon as Kayal reaches home, she sees her grandmother sitting in the courtyard and crying. Kayal gets worried and asks, "What happened, Grandma? Why are you crying?" The grandmother shows Kayal a letter and says, "A little while ago, someone tied this letter with a stone and threw it. I think we need to know more about this."
Kayal says to her grandmother, "I won't rest until I know who the troublemaker is, Grandma. Don't worry, we'll change everything."
Hearing Kayal's words, the grandmother gets a bit scared and says in a harsh tone, "The mistake your father made, don't repeat that mistake again. Now, we only have you to rely on, my dear."
Kayal hugs her grandmother and says, "Don't worry, I'll stay alert." Saying this, Kayal takes the letter from her grandmother and heads to her room.
Kayal makes a call on her phone and says, "What do we need to do next?" After listening quietly for a while, Kayal hangs up.
The next day, when she reaches college, Kayal sees an ambulance parked outside, and a crowd of students gathered. She walks over and finds out that Professor Saroj has suffered a minor heart attack. As she hears and sees this, a deadly smile appears on Kayal's face. After this, Kayal enters her class.
Inside the class, all the students are looking frightened, including Komal. Kayal walks over to Komal and asks, "Why does everyone look so scared today?"
Komal replies, "Not just a little scared, everyone is terrified because ragging will happen today."
"But ragging is illegal, we can't do that," Kayal says.
"This is the rule of this college, ragging will happen, and even the teachers can't stop it," Komal says to Kayal.
Before Kayal can respond, a few boys and girls enter the class. A tense and fearful atmosphere settles in.
Just as ragging is about to begin, Arav enters the class. He walks in with a swagger and says, "The ragging will only happen with Miss Chimpanzee, Kayal. Everyone else will have theirs tomorrow."
Without fear, Kayal asks, "What do I need to do in this ragging?"
Arav replies, "You have to run five laps around the ground without stopping."
"Why?" Kayal asks.
"Because that's the ragging rule here, you'll have to follow it," Arav answers.
"What if I don't follow the ragging rule?" Kayal asks.
Hearing this, Arav gets angry and walks towards Kayal. As soon as Arav comes close, he starts sneezing. He steps back and says, "Take her phone and bag, and don't give it back to her until she runs ten laps around the ground."
As Arav says this, Kayal's phone and bag are forcibly taken away from her.
Arav says in a confident tone, "You have to follow the ragging rule, understood? Now, go and run ten laps around the ground."
Without fear or hesitation, Kayal starts running. She runs for about an hour and manages to complete only six laps before collapsing from exhaustion.
When Kayal regains consciousness, it's already evening. But the ragging gang is still there. Kayal gets up without losing hope and starts running again. After completing all ten laps, Kayal goes to Arav and says, "Give me my things, I need to go home."
Arav replies, "Oh, you want your stuff? Well, you have to do something else for it. Right now, you have to dance and beg me for your stuff."
Kayal, tired but determined, dances, and Arav laughs and mocks her, saying, "Look, look, the black monkey is dancing!" After a grating voice, Kayal says, "Please, give me my things."
Finally, Arav hands over Kayal's belongings.
When Kayal reaches home, her grandmother scolds her, "You wretched girl, why are you coming back so late with your face all messed up?"
Since it's late when Kayal returns home, her grandmother scolds her. Kayal tries to explain, "The game has just begun, Grandma. There's more to come."
Grandmother looks at Kayal and says, "Be careful, or you know what the consequences will be."
Just then, someone knocks loudly on the door. Kayal opens it and sees no one outside, but her foot bumps into a box. Kayal picks it up and brings it inside.
As soon as Kayal opens the box, she gets scared.
What was inside the box? What is Kayal
planning to do next with her grandmother?
